I made $810/wk at 16-years-old (adjusted for inflation) working fields in the summers. Today, it's $510/wk. Can you guess why? Because everyone working the fields now is a visa worker who will accept minimum wage and no double-time after 50-hours. This is called a "surplus of labor".
Now, while you're stupid, you're probably not so stupid that you don't know that a surplus of something cheapens it. Surplus of labor = cheap labor.

I'm speaking from experience. I'm an ops manager at a packaging facility. 100% of my production workers are Mexican. I pay them $9.50/hr and they live in squalor. They will never go to college and neither will their kids. They will never make more than $9.50/hr - do you know why?
