I have questions about Africa. Why is it so poor? I mean, I know it’s a 3rd world country but when I think of some primitive untouched tribe in the Amazon jungle I wouldn’t really describe them as ‘poor’ just as living a simple hunter gatherer lifestyle. Yet I see stuff all the talking about how poor African countries are and how they need aid. I however do not see this same type of sentiment towards primitive jungle tribes. Why is this?
Can people in African countries not farm or raise livestock? The year round warm weather seems like it would be great for this. I just cannot fathom how these people have lived here for thousands of years and not developed any strategy of providing for themselves. Someone help me understand.
