I'd like to think there is a different dimension to this other than the purely sexual dominance hierarchy. However, feminism certainly hasn't brought any necessary changes about, in the last 10 or so years, so interpreting it as a hollow ordeal to test men and gain advantages over them seems logical.
Separating themselves from white men, who are currently under fire, for everything, would be a valid decision for someone who does not have any group loyalty or any feeling of responsibility for the society that they have inherited. Also makes sense from a geopolitical point of view.
