Because of this, midterms should be extremely important to anyone supporting Trump. Best case, more pro-Trump congressmen are elected, worst case more batshit progressive Dems get voted in to blue-ball Trump even further.

This isn't even considering factors like local government which people can vote for in midterms as well as federal government. In terms of issues like infrastructure you're more likely to have local or state governments making decisions about infrastructure than the feds.
