Which means they can't control his access to people and information.Trump's wealth also gives him other options.

So Trump likely has Wiseguys who are as connected as well as any deep state operatives who are working with him out of a sense of both revenge and patriotic duty. As an asside, the Mob basically got Kennedy elected in 1960, then were more than a little pissed when his brother Bobby went after them.
