The traffickers use trains. There is a rail line that comes into the United States from Laredo. Once it's in, it can go literally anywhere. All they have to do is compromise the guards at the particular border crossing where that train crosses, and trafficking the kids and illegal drugs would be quite easy.
Once in the United States, that train probably goes somewhere far out and secluded, where some of the cargo is then either held or vanned and shipped out to local processors in the area. The train then continues. As it goes, other cargo may be added for the return trip to Mexico, such as American children who have been kidnapped for sex slavery. They will be shipped back over the border to the endless rape that awaits.

That train line runs N-S and follows 35N until San Antonio. South of San Antonio there's a shipping yard that throws some tracks west through Hondo into El Paso and loads shipping containers onto 18 wheelers.
