I grew up on Bob Ross, Mr. Rogers, Mr. Dress Up, and others at a time when there was still actually a good amount of wholesome shows on TV, as opposed to the garbage that occupies 99.9% of the media these days. What does Jow Forums think were/are the most wholesome shows (especially shows that would be suitable for children)?

My Little Pony is wholesome for kids. Maybe a bit weird for 45 year old men, but fine for kids.

The show is pute, hideous garbage, and one of the characters was gay. The purple one.

It's a wholesome portrayal of your average fire fighter.
Gilligan's Island is a good show. Taught me about friendship, loyalty, independence, group dynamics, and eventually awakened my very first boner.
Ginger or Mary Anne?
My girlfriend convinced me to watch it with her. It's quite fun because it's full of scheming and plot twists. But the main characters are more like antiheroes in my opinion - always lying, cheating on their partners, making terrible decisions that end in disasters, stealing, covering up murders and manslaughter and they see nothing wrong with it.
But I'm afraid they were role models for your average women who watched that show when it was popular.

Faggot
Gilligan
are you fucking kidding me? all the men are either cucks, cucking other men, or psychopaths

I disagree that they don't see the horrible things they do as wrong, they spend a lot of their time and energy into fixing them (which is the total opposite of todays movies nihilist morals)
I think it's just that it's poorly written and that what should be casual mistakes seem like psychopathic trends
Everything is over the top to make it more dramatic and interesting. But doesn't change the fact that all of the women there are terrible.
