Well these countries are following genuine interpretations of Islam (though that doesn't necessarily mean they're correct). But I don't think these interpretations should necessarily be forced on anyone. Not that I think Islamic principles shouldn't be kept outside of civil life and enforced if need be, just that regions should have a choice whether or not to do this and that ultimately religion should be private devotion.
