Shit like this has made me think back at how many times people in positions of authority chose to do nothing because they didn't want to deal with it.
Middle school, you have a kid straight up punch another kid in the face during class, and the teacher tells him to sit down and stop disrupting class.
Another time when a kid calls another kid a racial slur and the teacher just reponds, "I will not have that language in this classroom, don't let me hear it again!" Then saying the same thing the next day.
High school a kid pulls down a girls pants because "it's just a prank," and nothing happens while the girl is punished for running out of the class without permission.
The crap that kids get away with, and then they grow up thinking "Oh, I guess this is OK!" and get worse is fucking disgusting. Teachers and school officials don't want to do anything about it. They don't want to call the cops on students for a brawl because it makes the school look bad. A student gets ridiculed because he goes to the office to report a kid for punching them in the face, and sometimes they will just say, "OK, we will look into it." and then do nothing, while that kid gets crap for "tattling" or "snitching." FUCK THAT! My jaw locks if I open it too wide because a kid blindsided me with a haymaker in high school. I got up and went over to the teacher and they told me to leave them alone then...right, I was minding my own business when that happened, but it's my fault.
Now we're left with the worst authority figure in all of American history, Donald Trump, threatening sovereign nations and risking WWIII. I just can't even anymore guys. I don't know what to do anymore.
