Why do people think it's normal to be in debt from your early days in life?

why do people think it's normal to be in debt from your early days in life?
why do they obsess over non issues rather than fix real problems?
why do people accept a life of slavery?

Prosperity for the Prosperous
Austerity for the rest of us

Debt isn't slavery it is to dumb people.

Anyone over the age of 18 understands this. I'm embarrassed for you.

What does this kid feel it is going to need that will require it to make more than 70k/yr w/ 3 months of paid vacation in its mid 20's?

If you need student loans to go to college, and your major gives you a degree that won't pay off your student loans, then you're too stupid to go to college.

Then don't live the (((MURICAN))) way

You don't need a $2500 MacBook for college just to browse the Internet and take notes

You dont need a $800-$1000 phone just to make calls and use 2 or 3 different apps

You can live at home with your family like the rest of the world does while you are still studying but Americans believe that paying rent to a stranger instead of living at home with their parents it's freedom

Stop buying $6 coffee everyday at Starbucks

Stop paying $100 a month in phone bills

Stop paying for Spotify , Netflix and all that shit

Stop drinking your money away every weekend at overpriced pubs

This is how you end up with $70k + debt you stupid Americans

Considering the grammar on that kids sign, it might be best that he/she won't be a teacher.

>Debt isn't slavery it is to dumb people.
Is there a comma missing or something?

That little man can't afford to be a teacher because like 80% of male teachers end up chasing 13 year-old trim.

>not being a $67k a year mechanic Master Race
>not living in tipi in grandpa's backyard, paying $80 a month in rent
>not doing this for 14 years
I'm drunkenly awoke and feel so fucking good. Bless y'all hearts

Bullshit, go to community college, then finish up at a state uni. Workstudy the whole time, you will owe maybe 5-10k. Sec ed or whatever you study to teach children is so low stress a degree you could work two jobs during college anyway.

I really want to know this too.

>I cannot afford to be a teacher.
If you spend six figures to become a teacher, you have fucked up at many points in your life.

I can't find an argument against that.

I know fucks that go out for every meal, going to places where they can easily make that food at home. Like paying 8 dollars for a bowl of yogurt, fruit, and granola, or pay a premium for artisan bullshit.

I know people who pay extra for minimalistic shit like iphones when their old version works fine.

I know people who genuinely replace their car every three years, and bike equally as long. You can easily survive with one car for 10, and a bike for quite a long time. Mine has lasted 9 years and hasn't shown signs of decay.

I know people who major in sociology or [insert bitch-able subject] studies and complain on facebook about their 80k/yr debt and how it will never get paid off with their current jobs in PR or waiting jobs. They also post their fun times at parties and with friends drinking irresponsibly.

I know people who genuinely vote socialist for "the good of us all" when they're just doing it for their selfish ass, disguising it as some abstract empathy. They just want their own incurred debt to be erased.

I know people who binge netflix on the regular and don't bother reading. If they do read, they buy the book versus going to the library to get literally the same thing, where you can renew it for up to a year for no extra charge.

I know people who would want guns to be grabbed, and homeschool banned, and all that other state-inflating bullshit because they want their children safe and away from their house so they can do other things. They have kids, but they don't care. I don't fucking understand that.

Mind you, I grew up in a nice suburb with a lot of these people. It's sad, but the potential of some commie revolution may happen because of their lazy asses.

I fucking hate this post-80s materialistic culture quite a lot. I just hope there's some return to a good patriotic country not branded with a trademark and shipped out to every corner of the country every national holiday.

What does this even suppose to mean?

American here, 100% agree.

I worked my way through university. Paid for everything myself - tuition, books, rent, food, vacations, etc. Had to take a semester off here and there to save up but graduated completely debt free. Meanwhile my peers at the time all had ridiculous loans and blew their money on every vice you can think of. One guy would buy every console the day it came out and as many games as he could then complain about not having enough cash for booze and whine about the cost of tuition.
The worst was an old roastie roommate. Her parents took out a second mortgage on their house to get her a $40,000 loan for her schooling. She blew it all within a year. Shopping, expensive sushi, lavish trips, all while managing to fail some of her classes. The kicker is she wasn't even in university yet - this all happened while she was in Junior College.

The price of education vs teacher salary in USA makes it basically “unaffordable” to study to be a teacher.

This.
>Muh i cannot afford to be a teacher.
>No one can afford being teachers.
>Less teachers than demand
>Payment goes up so more people will become teachers.
OP continues to be a faggot.

Because (((they))) control every piece of media normies consume. All of which serve the purpose of indebting billions of serfs to the new ruling class.

Real problems are hard

They don't sell tacos at Mcdonald's.

This. I'm from California and there is a severe teacher shortage due to boomers retiring and no one wanting to teach in Cali public schools. They are hiring almost anyone with a degree and a pulse and wages are just now starting to rise to attract more people.

No school district in the country could pay me what it would take to tolerate those monkeys in public schools

>They are hiring almost anyone with a degree and a pulse and wages are just now starting to rise to attract more people.
Test scores are still not going to increase no matter how much they dumb it down though. Worse yet, they'll condition the kids to hate learning too.
>The absolute state of burger education
JUST FUCK MY SHIT UP SENPAI

DONT
GET
INTO
A
DEBT
YOU
CANT
PAY

FUCKING
SIMPLE

Daily reminder that there is no such thing as "good debt."

But what if I see a thing I want

Nobody aspires to be a teacher, it's something you fail into. Wait to set the bar high for your children.

Agreed
Agreed. Test scores will continue to fall as Cali becomes more and more diverse. The proposed solution will be to throw money at the problem, which does nothing. I plan on moving back to the US and teaching in a private school, probably a Catholic one.

Same, was going to be a teacher but once I started doing my shadow hours I saw the absolute shit state of public teaching and got the fuck out of dodge. Also wasn't going to drop another several thousand on a "certification" and another year or 2 of my life. Went into private tutoring and contracting, WAY more satisfying and profitable. Unstable, but hey, beats public school.

Mostly true but numerous parents kick their kids out at 18-20 years old or make their own kids pay rent. Because, like you facetiously said, it's the American way

This seems to be the case with lower class people mostly

Why are /ptg/ mods deleting relevant threads?

This.

The right gutted teachers unions and then launched a sustained broadside against science, so no wonder a teacher won't be able to repay their student loans.

A teaching degree in red states averages just over a minimum wage job in my state. How the fuck can conservitards justify that? Education is the cornerstone of conservatism

well then it's ok but only if you really want it, like coffee or weed.

I feel bad for that kid because he’s being used as a politics prop. He’s going to grow up a lefty that loves cape shit and other degeneracy because he wasn’t allowed to as a child.

Attached: 4L_fdJ5E0Dc.jpg (735x490, 130K)

Teaching doesn't pay well anywhere because it's a joke profession a mother can do at home better than the public sector.

>>homeschooled kids hit university at age 17.

Because it disintevices you from misusing the funds society has put towards your education, puts you on timetable to graduate fast as you can.

>Dumb people
>Doesn’t know proper grammatical structure
Lad

if you can't pay for education then you shouldn't get one. getting into debt is retarded. just accept that life gave you a shitty hand and find a decent job as a technician, a contractor or something like that.

Lol do you have any idea what the cost of school is here in the US?

BE
A
FUCKING
ADULT
AND

FUCKS
SAKE

IDK but the government should pay for it because literally everyone has to go to college.

So essentially only people with mama and dadas money should get an education? Won’t that just cause more problems? Your position is brain-dead retarded. Just like the kids that get neck deep in debt

>so essentially the only people with value accumulated by themselves or their parents should get higher education
Yes.
If public schooling/home life is so shit that you need a college education to survive then you have more problems than the cost of college.

>has parents' money and doesn't appreciate it
>insists that people without money shouldn't try to get more money

Kill yourself

>>insists that people without money shouldn't try to get more money
strawman
fix public education cocksucker.
You shouldn't need 30 years of schooling to make a living

kill yourself nigger

>why do people accept a life of slavery?
For some of us, it's all we have to support us in life.

Come on, goy. You know parents kick thier kids out when they turn 18 in burger land, right?

Attached: 15323598743341659556597.jpg (3264x1836, 1.46M)

>shouldn’t
Yea and you shouldn’t be such a flaming fag but that’s just the state of affairs. Not much we/you can do about it

I agree, but there's nothing that just one poor person will be able to do.
So just saying "fix the public education system" is being needlessly dismissive.
How about you use daddy's money to hire lobbyists to help fix education?

Why do people think its normal not to pay your own way?

You cock sucking nigger fucking faggots keep trying to patch the wrong end of the system.
College isn't necessary and should only be available to those who have excess wealth to invest.
Public schooling is TRASH which is forcing jobs to not respect it as an accomplishment meaning the only job you can get out of high school is a burger-flipper. it is damn hard to accumulate wealth when you're flipping burgers.
Parents and the community need to take more responsibility for the children they create by choosing to fix their public schooling instead of bitching about the cost of college.

Ok, and rapists should stop raping. It’s not going to happen. And simply shutting off a large portion of the populace from higher education won’t fix that cocksucker. Holy shit you’re retarded

>simply shutting off a large portion of the populace from higher education won’t fix that cocksucker
Yes it would.
They would either starve to death or fucking teach their goddamned children.
You fucking retard.

Debt helps you grow so long as that loan was used to grow your wealth.
When you use loaned money for buying iPads and putting it toward risky investments like education that's when you become a slave.

>person who struggles financially is better equipped to teach child about mathematics than a professional educator

Good try

Do you people not understand that America is a racket whose purpose is to increase shareholder value and speculator profits? The entire rest of society is a necessary (for now) evil.

Attached: 1531109357554.png (490x882, 86K)

No, you can’t just put off poor people and say “let them die”, atleast not yet anyways. There would be rampant crime, huge increase in out of wed-lock births and much more. Unless you want America to turn into a third world country I think you should abandon your ill-conceived, bullshit, retarded, brain dead, turbotard position.

no they dont just women and men who want to work women jobs

But how do they do that, dickfuck?
How does a town, whose public school has to meet state and national standards, change any of what you just said?
Sure they could try to adjust curriculum, but again state and national stanards are only so flexible.
They could send their kids to private school, but THEN THEY'D HAVE TO POSSESS EXCESS WEALTH, WOULDN'T THEY.

of you are a broke ass nigga, getting in debt at bad terms is just prolonging the inevitable.

>No, you can’t just put off poor people and say “let them die”, atleast not yet anyways. There would be rampant crime, huge increase in out of wed-lock births and much more.
That's all happening right now even with college.
Poor people cause these situations themselves because they're genetically inferior IN WHICH THEY SHOULD DIE OFF or THEY HAVE NEVER LEARNED NOT TO ACT IN THAT WAY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT have the repercussions that would naturally arise from their actions.

> but again state and national stanards are only so flexible.
That's a fucking problem isn't it, maybe one people should be bitching about instead of FREE COLLAGE FREE COLLAGE GIVE ME DEM POGRAMS

Because their parents are in debt.

Feudalism is inevitable

>hurr durr state and federal standards have to be met THATS what helps people survive
>WTF PEOPLE LITERALLY CAN'T SURVIVE OFF OF A HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION FREE COLLEGE NOW

Yep I’m just a broke ass nigga, that’s it, not that this degree in chem engineering could help take my family out of poverty of something. I should just deal drugs instead to make ends meet

>child wants to be a teacher at that age
Bullshit

>senior engineer
>earn 6K€ a month with ten years of experience
Their way of life is retarded but they actually have room for growth, we don't.

People ARE bitching about it, you sperg.
But people like your money grubbing, Jew loving parents benefit tangentially from common core, so the result is that no matter how much the people hate it, legislators and the people who fund them will never eliminate it.
And you know that!

>This bad thing is already happening, so it doesn’t matter if I make it worse!!!
I think you might be the genetically inferior one ironically, did your parent give you too many chromosomes?

Attached: 2A37CF06-8E39-41CE-8523-934460368AFF.jpg (916x1024, 127K)

>why do people think it's normal to be in debt from your early days in life?
Because the boomers need to get theirs.

>our actions aren't stopping this bad thing
>we have to continue with this shitty system instead of correcting things which might be ugly at first.
>People ARE bitching about it, you sperg.
no they're not, every discussion on education is based around FREE COLLEGE.

Boomers, man.

>Daily reminder that there is no such thing as "good debt."
Rong. The idea is that if money is cheap to borrow, it's worth while to borrow if you can either 1) differ costs associated with a lump sum payment (i.e. sales tax, other taxes, or make use of tax breaks such as with home ownership) and / or
2) use the cheaply borrowed money on a venture that will yield a greater return than the initial principle + interest (i.e. buy something you have good reason to think will go up in value, or pay for qualifications that will get you a pay raise)

It's reductive and quintessentially Jow Forums to make some retarded blanket statement like "there's no such thing as good debt". What is true however is that capitalism is not a sustainable system and is as infantile and counter-productive to our colonization of the star as organized superstition.

Yea you’re just larping but I’ll entertain you
Those poor people that you’ll just let die won’t actually die. They’ll survive just like roaches always find a way to survive. They’ll infest your golden college educated society in one way or another. You won’t be able to just get rid of them without literal genocide, which the other countries around the world won’t be to fond of. But keep clinging to your sperg logic

>Parents putting their children on the street in order to force them to work.
Of course you don't raise a lazy bastard only to let him dwell in your basement until he's 40 but is it really common to throw your child out in the US?

You're assuming that taxpayers are rational actors. Look at how generalized anti-tax sentiments are. We see in here literally daily comments about how all taxation is theft, how all governance is illegitimate... Convincing people to allow themselves to be taxed sufficient to pay for the societal demands they place on government is not easy at all, even when they're demanding 'all the things', if you will.

Maybe every COLLEGE KID is talking about free college, but educators and the parents of kids in the public school system are VERY concerned about the inflexibilty and inadequacy of state and national standards.
washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/answer-sheet/wp/2016/08/18/the-seven-deadly-sins-of-common-core-by-an-english-teacher/?noredirect=on
Pay more attention, faggot.

Yes.

>Those poor people that you’ll just let die won’t actually die. They’ll survive just like roaches always find a way to survive.
like what theft?
or violence?
or by becoming productive members of society?
the productive won't die off and the thieves and looters will get shot.

you don't need to be in debt. but if you choose a 30k+ school it's your own damn fault.

learn a trade that's neded. You'll start your career without debt and make potentially way more money

>teachers
>qualified in any meaningful way

Attached: 1401650076820.jpg (384x395, 19K)

>spending money you don't have

>Stupid

American schools in some areas recruit from the private sector, to bring in successful teachers with experience in their fields. In a few states, like Pennsylvania, tenure is statewide, so that districts can compete for the best teachers.

>all the morons ITT defending usury and community college
Americans deserve to be debt slaves, honestly. No other country loves taking it up the ass as much as we do, no other country falls for propaganda as much as we do, no other country is so hostile to education, no other people is so happy to be exploited
>tuition has increased 500% since 1980? maybe you shouldn't have studied gender studies, hahaha
>wait, why aren't white people forming families? I thought student loans were other people's problem, not mine
>wait, why can't anybody find a job? I thought student loans were other people's problem, not mine
>wait, why is the economy crashing? I thought student loans were other people's problem, not mine
>wait, why are so many people living at home? I thought student loans were other people's problem, not mine
>I worked my way ON MY OWN when I was attending retard state 30 years ago. Yeah I lived in a totally different economy wherein tuition was literally 500% cheaper, cost of living was a joke, and it was easy to find well-paying job, and yeah I've since destroyed that happy society, but there's no reason you can't be a spoiled deluded brat like me too!

This. Honestly I don't mind too much though, teachers in MA are well paid, and as a result MA has a highly educated workforce, high prosperity, and the highest HDI in the country. In some ways, the backwards thinking of middle america only contributes further to MA's success, since it encourages intelligent people from middle america shitholes to leave their worthless republicuck communities and contribute to an already great state. It's a snowball effect. I admire those people in places like oklahoma though who continue to remain there out of love for where they live, even though the state govt there would rather spend cash building and subsidizing private prisons rather than pay schoolteachers. that's dedication.

I guess we could let the free market handle it but that would be crazy

The answer is more government and of course MORE TAXES

>Public schools getting more money = good education

Good fucking troll mate, fuck off

>The answer is more government and of course MORE TAXES

no, the answer is dedicating public resources that WE ALREADY HAVE to public education instead of funneling them towards corporate subsidies. massachusetts has the best public ed in the country but is firmly middle of the road in terms of actual taxation (despite the "taxachusetts meme", which is a myth; republican strongholds like north dakota pay more in taxes than we do). you literally just proved his point though.

You might as well take up a major in Spanish while you're at it if my past experience on job sites or any indication

>haha, the free market will fix things because high demand = higher pay! money is everything!
>funding to fix education? money isnt everything, user!

enjoy your worthless cesspool excuse for a community. rich yankees laugh at your expense.

Difference between free-market and federal funding is free-market funding stops when the value received for that price becomes too low.

Not always true with federal funding.
Which is why some states have "good" public education with less taxes than other states.

>it's real fucking easy
>just save up $80,000
>oops I mean $90,0000 (tuition went up again while you were flipping hamburgers over those past 10 years)
>forgot to mention, your paycheck covers less and less of your living expenses, so make that 20 years
>oops it's now $100k! provost needed a new helicopter pad
>okay, you've saved up $110k. You've entered middle-age and you work at a fast food restaurant. But now at last you are ready to take freshman composition at your community college. Aren't you glad you didn't take on that debt?

>this is totally normal!

Attached: student-loans[1].png (800x401, 37K)

Real serious question. Why is it going to cost me $16,000 for Community College? How in the hell am I supposed to pay for an English 101 class when it cost and upwards of $800?

Tragedy of the Commons type things have a pretty bad track record with relying on the private sector.

Private schools can expel any student they want. people with no education are pretty unemployable, and further, makes their parents unemployed while caring for them. Such children are more likely to commit crimes, which means more taxes for lawyers, judges, and to pay tenancy on private prison cells.

All that assumes that people would all be earning sufficient wages to pay for schooling at all.

He sure did. But he doesn't understand that.

thanks for replying guys, reading through it now.
