Why is American West Coast so popular compared to East Coast?

It's simple. Better climate year around. It's also the home to Hollywood, which is basically the entertainment hub of the world so there will naturally be more stars and affluent people living there.

For one Cali is a really nice area weather-wise. The love of it by Americans is due to Hollywood movies portraying old Cali in the 70s which was based. The East coast today is superior, but to say it's 100% rich whites with no crime is an exaggeration. Every city is multicultural and has its ghettos. The cars on the East coast are certainly not 20 year old cars. Obama got rid of a lot of them with Cash for Klunkers. Most cars are less than 10 years old, and wealthier people drive Audis and BMWs.

Aside from the people, the cities are old and dirty, like the shitholes in Europe, but lacking the history. There is little natural beauty, it's all be eaten up and shit out by the industrial revolution. The weather is hot and humid in the summer, cold and miserable in the winter. They have no mountains, nothing of value.
The west coast on the other hand has the most awe-inspiring landscapes of North America and the world. Diverse mountains, deserts, ancient forests, it's paradise. The weather is pleasant, not too humid, and the cities are spread out because they weren't settled by a bunch of European peasants huddled up on a rock. The only downside of the west coast today is due to liberal policies, which is ruining the entire world so you can't really count that against it.

good OP you're entirely right except you didn't mention NYC and DC which are lite Californias. The rest of it is true though. If you're into underrated American regions, midwest is extremely based (except for Chicago but it's easily the best compared to LA and NYC)

Lyme disease. It's severe and intense up there. There was a biological weapons lab in Lyme Connecticut, ticks got out and boom, the tick population exploded with a virulent form of borelliosis. If you want to go outdoors, the North East is not for you. You have the potential to get hundreds of these things on you from a single hike. Permanent joint pain, headaches and neurological infestation can occur if left untreated. Unless you want to be on antibiotics all the time, there is no good way of avoiding it. North East should be deforested, all wildlife killed, and brushed over with DDT until the tick population is zero.

I never remember seeing ticks in my childhood but now you catch them from every small bush in the city on your ankle if you wear shorts. Wild rabbits spread them. The places you catch ticks don't make sense anymore, before you had to only avoid tall grass on coasts.
If you have a dog then give it anti tick medication and watch your home floor fill up with dead poisoned ticks falling out of it's fur.
