Let's face the facts, mass shootings simply don't happen in nations with strict gun control. Look at Japan, Australia, and the UK if you don't believe me.
In Australia and the UK they had ONE major mass shooting and immediately banned most guns. In the U.S. we've had thousands of them and yet we are still doing nothing all because a 200 year old piece of paper says we can't. If that's not insanity I don't know what is.
Look, I know you will all argue that new gun laws won't work. While that *might* be the case, you are missing the point. The point is that we at least TRY to do something about gun violence. Right now we are doing nothing and that needs to change. Whether it's more background checks, banning of some types of guns, or outright confiscation it does not matter.
Oh look, this thread again. I'm not even going to take the time to debate you any more because the same picture is posted and you're a gay. Read the literature surrounding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, things that the founding fathers themselves wrote about 2A, then go fuck yourself.

So I'm a shill because I want our country to succeed? Are you serioius?
Link me to another thread with this same picture. I'll wait.

The right to bear arms comes at a cost but the reward is protection from tyranny. Every nation that you listed is essentially free loading off of the US in this regard. As long as the US citizens are armed, the chance of true tyranny taking hold is low. As long as the US is a free country it is unlikely that any other first world nation will fall to tyranny. The US bears the cost of this in the form of increased gun violence while the rest of us get to reap the benefits. So don't be arrogant and act superior when there are innocent US civilians that die every year as an indirect result of protecting YOUR freedom.

true, but all in australia and the UK the majority of the citizens wanted to give up their arms while the majority of gun owners in the US don't want to. also, both of those counties didn't have another country with a booming black market right beneath them.
It says a "well regulated militia is needed to protect the nation" and also says " THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED UPON" -- Guess what? THIS IS A SLIDE THREAD
Fpbp >shootings simply don't happen in nations with strict gun control But the violent crime rates skyrocket, somebody doesn't get shot but ten people get stabbed instead.
Get out of here with this shit! I'm trying to have a discussion here about how gun owners need to compromise by turning in all of their guns and you are fucking ruining my thread with your garbage!
Fuck off!
Henry Phillips
"Right of the PEOPLE" and well regulated as in well stocked you retard. >At least we can TRY to do something Yeah, get a gun to protect yourself and those you love, you worthless faggot.
Look faggot, let me break it down for you. 30k deaths from firearms a year. Thats all causes, including suicide. Out of a population of over 300 million This means you have a 0.0003% chance of dying by a fire arm. BUT ONLY, if you fit certain criteria If you are black Live in or near a mostly black area Are in a gang Are a cop Or are suicidal If none of that applies to you, then your chance of dying by a firearm is virtually zero. Couple that with the hundreds of thousands of lives saved every year due to firearms, well. Also coupled with the undeniable across the board FACT that where gun laws are more lax, there is less crime, and where they are more restrictive there is more crime. You have not a leg to stand on, or a pot to piss in. Dont want a gun? Fine, dint get one. But if you keep insisting on taking mine I will give it to you, one bullet at a time. So sit down, shut up, and fuck off, bitch.
>only allow guns to people in millitias >millions of white gun owners create and join millitias all over the country its like you want right wing death squads
>Look at these countries that are the size of one of our states. Why can't we control the populous as easy?? Also, Australia's populace is condensed to the coasts...
Aus DID have a militia. And the gubberman was scared shitless. Then we had false flag.

OP wants to kill you and rape your wife and children. Be careful.

That pic actually has a point.
Ok, so most of your arguments are that it was obviously meant to mean by bear arms that any citizen has the right to own a firearm. But consider this: We know that is not what they meant. At the time of the crafting of the document, there were many people who were not allowed to possess a firearm. Blacks and Indians were barred from having firearms. Even if they were legally citizens.
So the claim that gun rights were always available to all citizens, and the claim that that was the intention is false.
You seem to understand neither the concept of the first amendment, nor America's take on freedom. "Freedom from" and "Freedom to" are different from a free-for-all kind of "Freedom".
The First Amendment allows the freedom of speech from government infringement. Someone else can still tell you to shut the fuck up, and that doesn't violate your rights. As long as the government isn't doing it.
The Second Amendment recognizes the right to bear arms, but you already knew that. What you are either willfully or haplessly ignorant of is historical context. America was founded as a civil resistance to government, thus 2A was written with resistance to government in mind. You cannot resist a government unless you can match their equipment, at least on the infantry level. 2A is not about hunting, or self/home defense. 2A is about #resisting your government if they overstep.
but Trump is a Russian asset, and he should take away our guns, right? It's not the only oxymoronic belief held by your kin.

The right of the people. They werent people back then, now they are. The 2nd is still perfect.
>Japan great for holidays but shit for living >Australia shithole where nature kills you >UK shithole overall mainly because it's illegal do defend oneself there
sorry but all your examples are shit compared to America despite America being grossly mediocre
It's just bait, guys. Look at the filename. Bait is fine, btw, I don't understand why it is frowned upon, bait serves to rehash collective wisdom for the benefit of lurking normies.
