civilian fag here any ex military anons here who can tell me if these guys are actually shooting at anything or are they just shooting blindly? i looks like they are just wasting ammo if i am honest but i cant tell.
also what do you think will happen to crimea
youtube.com
Are they just shooting at nothing?
It doesn't really matter. The bullets being used are likely filled with depleted uranium. Whether they hit a target or litter the landscape, the damage will be done to the population. People will pick them or the DU will get into the water supply or animals the people eat will be contaminated by the DU. Look at all the birth defects in Iraq that resulted from this type of ammo. Same will happen in Syria and Ukraine.
Is DU so common in ammunition? Also the radiations in Iraq were caused by some kind on silent bombs with radioactive material that just burn a tank in 5 minutes.
In WWI for every combat casualty there were around 10,000 rounds fired.
By WWII this figure rose to about 25,000 rounds.
In Vietnam it was about 50,000 rounds.
lmao
literally in description:
In a six-minute long firefight, a group of Ukrainian soldiers from 43 battalion "Patriot" fend off an attack from pro-Russian "DPR" forces from their trench positions.
In other words, ruskys were advancing on them from the woods, they were shot at from a few different sides, PK machine gun guy even tells that ak guy on his right to use rocket launcher on the bushes to the right because fire was still coming from there.
tl;dr suppressing and harassing the enemy
hard to tell but the ak part was ridiculess that guy was way too high
LMG probably just supressing fire since you can't see the target and they don't use tracers it's hard to tell espacially with that camera angle
retard
atleast use google before posting your stupid shit
you're an idiot Uranium hardened amunition won't be used in conflicts like this
get your facts straight you literal nigger
Not a military fag but if you can clearly see the enemy he can probably see you clearly, too, which means you're about to get btfo. Thus shooting from afar is much safer and intuitive. The winning factos are probably positioning and supply chain if not superior technology.
Well technically the ammo is filled with a heavy metal which has the same density as tungsten or DU. Obviously, tungsten is far more expensive. Being cynical, I assume the ammo is filled with DU. It is a huge problem for the military. The Geneva convention requires that the offending country pay for the damage they do with this type of ammo if they treat their own for contamination. Hence, the awful care for veterans in the US.
I can see tracer ammo being used in the AK because people are watching movies with laser blaster expect bullets to glow too.
It’s a larp.
These are depleted uranium guns for infantry. I don’t see them in the video.
There some experimental weapons like that but I only see normal russkie stuff.
Linked those guns here
Skirmishes over resources which means ww3 has begun
The M240 SAW can fire SLAP rounds so it is most likely capable of firing DU rounds.
Of course it´s not, the Burgers would drop like flies from all the cancer even the Department of War couldn´t spin it.
DU is used in armor penetrating Tank and A10 Warthog ammo, not a fucking Kalashnikov.
>Burgers would drop like flies from all the cancer
They do. The VA will say they have Gulf War Syndrome and other bullshit and not treat them for actual problems.
Exactly, but CONSTANTLY lugging around nuclear waste as small weapons ammo would make those horrible "GW Syndrome" numbers literally explode.
Nobody even in the US Industrial Military Complex is that stupid.
There is no need to use DU against infantry, DU has a density of 19g/cm this allows the round to carry more kinetic energy per cm2 which gives it more penetration. look at this anti tank round, and how long and slim the projectile is.this round will get so hot from the friction that during the penetration parts will liquefy.
>also what do you think will happen to crimea
What are you implying here?
GW Syndrome was caused by prophylactic Cipro used because US intelligence is literally retarded and thought Saddam would be using anthrax. They were slamming Cipro like it was going out of style and that was shit causes mitochondrial damage.
>The bullets being used are likely filled with depleted uranium
idiot
>There is no need to use DU against infantry
Sure there is. If the goal is to genocide a population, riddling the environment with nuclear waste is a way to do it while at the same time finding a use for all your nuclear waste that would otherwise have to be stored in very expensive ways.
>19g/cm
>19g/cm3*
>bullets filled with depleted uranium
Are you fucking retarded?
he's american, so: yes
The reason they pick DU is for very specific reasons only gold, platinum and tungsten have about the same mass density, but are far more expensive, if they had a none radioactive alternative they would use it. no one is going to accept people just dumping their nuclear waist all over, there are still rules to war.
It's called surpressing fire. They are literally firing in general direction of the enemy to surpress him, ie.: to force to keep his head down and don't do anything other than that. It is widely used method, especially in work with some other elements - other fireteams/technic moving etc. Most of these rounds will not have wounding effect, but will do their job in surpressing.
Also hear them "swooshing" sounds around one minute mark? That is the sound of rounds flying very close to you. Definitely real thing.
>if they had a none radioactive alternative they would use it. no one is going to accept people just dumping their nuclear waist all over, there are still rules to war.
Yes you are correct. I'm getting sleepy. Aren't you? It has been a long day. I'm going to bed now.
some footage from Misanthropic Divison, the natsoc guys fighting commies in Donbass

You have any proves or just assertions, because it would be way cheaper to store it than to make Bullets out of DU.
Most actual warfighting is like this. People really think from the movies or COD that you're running around, aiming down the sight, seeing bad guys and blasting them away before they shoot you.
In reality you're hiding in a trench, building or are prone, shooting in a general vague direction, not really aiming at anything since there's nothing to aim at, and hoping your enemies give up or your bullets have hit something.
This right here. Supply and logistics, and the lack thereof, are what when wars.
This
The US army claimed that only 1 in 100 000 bullets fired actually hits an enemy
It's much safer and they have the money to pay for millions of bullets, this is why they are so effective
Only found one link to it.
thetruthaboutguns.com
But it’s too expensive.
you are like 4 years late for Ukraine meme war
also
ukraine lost hard
crimea is and will be russia
>Most actual warfighting is like this
pffft.
>not jumping out of the trench and doing 360 noscopes across the BF.
fucking pleb
>civilian fag here any ex military anons here who can tell me if these guys are actually shooting at anything or are they just shooting blindly?
If you want to understand this type of engagement play ARMA III. 90% walking around like a retard and then bullets start whizzing you and you scramble to find where the fuck it's coming from and more than likely you die not ever having seen the enemy.
Poorly trained troops or supression fire.
Fake news, Kiev reported yesterday that ATO destroyed thousands of Russian tanks
They even have it on camera but battery low, can't show it
>i looks like they are just wasting ammo if i am honest but i cant tell.
It's called suppressive fire, but it's mostly a dick measurement contest.
Indeed, they're shooting at nothing.
Infantry rifles don't use DU.
Dumb ass!
Lead contamination is much more an issue, though Soviet commie countries usually use steel core bullets instead of lead.
That stat is a result of better combat medicine, nothing to do with accuracy of the average infantryman.
It is actually extremely rare to ever see the enemy in modern warfare for fairly obvious reason. The weapon an average soldier carries can BTFO an entire platoon. You tend to estimate where they are shooting from.
It is estimated that between 315 and 350 tons of DU were used in the 1991 Gulf War.[16]
Which is 17,5m3 not a lot.
>xm25
I thought those fired explosives
NATO released disturbing satellite pictures of Russian armor entering Ukraine
That’s Bridge Builder. I saw that stuff on Steam.
>In reality you're hiding in a trench, building or are prone, shooting in a general vague direction, not really aiming at anything since there's nothing to aim at, and hoping your enemies give up or your bullets have hit something.
>not jumping out of a fighter jet and firing RPGs into enemy trenches
t. noob fagit
That poor tank...Did it survive?
Most killing is done by artillery or air strikes. And accidents
you are embarrassing yourself fool
depleted uranium is a metal, like lead or steel, just has more mass, close to but outweighing tungsten
fuck off retard
the guys just a scrub
This
>Oh shit shots
>scramble for something solid to hide behind
>where's it coming from
>listen a bit
>ok to the right
>get the solid thing between you and the right
>listen more and try to get a better idea where the shots are coming from, turn your head from side to side so you can kinda triangulate
>ok to the right somewhere nearish that hill
>find likely looking bush, tree, rock, or building near where you're taking fire from and shoot at it some
>look around and make sure everyone else is shooting in a similar direction, if not, you fucked up and you should probably start shooting in the same direction they are
>do this until you stop getting shot at
>congrats have a cib
most engagements happen at 300 meters these days, at least thats the case for america in the middle east. The shooter is probably shooting at someone far away that you cant see on the video.
Wrong. Read (at least excerpts) from "Men against Fire"
Training them to shoot human-like targets instinctively before even thinking is what bought the number of rounds per kill down, people weren't willing generally to shoot anyone that wasn't posing an immediate threat to them. Will find a relevant video, hold on.
i don't think that theory is true for my country or any other country which had to defend itself
Imagine being this much of a fucking retard that you think they make DU infantry rounds
They're in good shape in terms of organisation, and the fact that he's not spending time aiming doesn't mean he's blind-firing, most likely he's fired that many times that he's got some muscle memory going on. Just a case of popping head up, making sure they're not advancing and firing a few to signal they haven't run out of ammo lol.
it's armaII tho
Ooooh. That flag on the right. Nice.
