Good Riddance

Why are we not supporting journalism instead of useless coal miners

You forgot
>Articles are blogpost thinkpieces about whatever is going on in author's head
>Articles require no research, sources, or authorities on the subject

(((journalism)))

Let's hope the worst of them lose more than their jobs.

Good. When old people die newspapers go with them.

Coal is more useful than journalists. At least when you burn coal it creates power. Burning journalists requires more energy than it generates.

Good. The "journalism" aspect is just a means of conveying advertising, the selling of which is their real business, followed closely by propagandizing

"News" is just in a different format, and is even more opinionated than ever.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This faggot writes as if people fucking care! If we cared we'd buy your shitty papers.
Journalists are fucking scum.

Attached: 8 gorillion camps.jpg (657x655, 80K)

my city's flagship paper is garbage run by old faggots paying themselves massive bonuses while they pay the reporters like 30k to copy and paste AP wire articles. It's a fucking joke and our local independent paper (riverfront times) will pass them up in quality and circulation one day and I don't know if they even pay at all

>238,000 jobs lost in journalism
>literally an entire 1/1000th of the entire adult US population had and lost a job in journalism

Attached: tucker doubt.png (194x299, 111K)

Hopefully the numbers for journalism keeps going up.

Meanwhile, there's millions new "bloggers" and "columnists"

Jesus christ was he on a global tour?

Meh 238,000 isn't enough (((Journalism))) is a kike meme that will die along with boomers. Good

>Useless coal miners
This is correct though

the internet, mainly this board and youtube, is making the msm obsolete. post tfw your mere existence is enough to destroy the media and change the course of history forever

Attached: 1531969936460.jpg (720x480, 115K)

At least coal produces something that is objectively useful. Journos are just fucking worthless.

Along with their suicides

Nuclear > coal but coal miners are objectively superior to journalist scum.

Good, maybe being poor will redpill those journo kikes.

Coal burning is easily the most degenerate thing anoyone can do. But still, journalists are worse. Everyone recognizes this.

newspapers and tv are obsolete. they have been since internet was invented its just old fucks who still use either in their traditional form

nuclear>coal at what.. toxifying areas?

I mean like actually putting coal in a furnace and lighting it on fire lol
But yes, journalists are worse than coalburners.

More people die from coal each year then have ever died from nuclear power.

Nuclear power is safest option

Ackthually nuclear plants are extremely safe when well-maintained.
>b-but Chernobyl
Happened outside of normal operating parameters and iirc after a lack of maintenance. Privyat is safe to live in in 2018 btw
>b-but Fukushima
>building nuclear plants on the coast of a volcanic archipelago

oh look, another Elonite treehugger retard

He kept trying to find one that actually killed people.

>In that same amount of time, we've lost journalism

Ftfy, call me when Seymour Hersh isn't exiled to the London Review of Books.

Maybe they should quit lying 24/7

He must be stretching it to include delivery boys and other fields which rely on journalism.

This
The format of print journalism and cable-tv, has certain limitations tied to it.
For starter, most "stories" are required to be able to be read/seen independently from previous stories. There also is a limit to the length any story can have, usually it has a maximum of a couple of pages in a newpaper, or an hour in a TV broadcast.
Both of these means that the main role of a journalist is to condense the information, and show you the tip of the iceberg.
There are also some limitations to the amount of "data" a journalist can present in its reporting, usually one graph or so, to accompany the article or broadcast.

The internet provide the ability to dwelve into a given subject - on demand. If you are interested in "Trumps trade war", you can easily find one online article or one youtube video about it, and from there other stories will just continue to pop up, until you have saturated your desire for information regarding this particular topic.

To put it simply: journalism became less about "news" and more about "opinion".

Respectable journalism died when it stopped being about impartial reporting of the facts and every fucker with a byline started including their unsolicited opinions about the story they're writing. Same shit happened with televised news - the days of Uncle Walter coming on at night to give us an overview of all the important shit going down and telling it "the way it was" are over. Now everything's panel discussions and commenting and opinionating on news rather than actually reporting it. Bottom line is that nobody fucking cares about some random journalist's opinions and if that's all you've got to offer people will get their news elsewhere.

>It's the same thousand people who can't hold down a job getting hired and fired almost every work day and bouncing between companies

Fuck his eyes look psychotic. Also he is the most semitic looking goy I have ever seen.

>238000 jobs in (((journalism)))

And why is this a bad thing?
I see nothing but good things with less faggots being told what to write and shilling against America!

You would hope that an industry. where you can be paid to lie and the only "talent" you need is a basic grasp of your first language, would die off. I bet he's lying here in fact. "238,000" jobs lost but how many of those people walked straight in to writing for another shitrag or website?

>use front page to demonize white men

>fire marketing dept manager who says the only people who buy physical newspapers are retired white men

>unemployed journalists can no longer afford to heat apartment

>evil redneck white man gets a pickup load of coal to heat his rural and suburban retard house for 100$

There also is the potential that people may reach different conclusions, from the same data. That one guy may "weight" the information differently and come up with a different interpretation.
This also means that the role of a journalist, as presenting the "fact" and it's immediate conclusion, is obsolete, given that everyone have access to the same data, and can make their own conclusions.

Every journalist could disappear, and my life would actually improve.

Coal powers everything I used pretty much.

Not a hard concept to grasp.

Coal miners are actually useful, hardworking people who provide a valuable service to the country. Journalists are just propagandists. Good fucking riddance.

>tfw your mere existence is enough to destroy the media and change the course of history forever

Attached: got the clap.jpg (220x220, 5K)

Yeah, he can't mean redundancies which is what the figure for coal miners probably represents. He means people moving from outlet to outlet so you have one person representing 8 'job losses'.
Fucking disingenuous journo cunt couldn't stop twisting numbers even if he tried

But that same logic applies to any field. I *could* read every medical journal that gets published and come to my own conclusions about what healthcare treatments to seek - but like most people I have a job and a life, so I trust medical professionals who are more familiar and more qualified to boil down all this information to something easily processable: here are the important facts and here are your treatment options.

At the end of the day, journalism is *supposed* to be about investigating the information and condensing it and presenting it in a way such that it can be easily assimilated and processed by people who don't have the time or patience to investigate the nitty gritty details of every news story: here are the important facts and here's why this is important. The problem is journalism stopped doing that - everything's become opinions and editorials and shit now. Nobody trusts them to do their job or condense and present the information in an impartial and professional way anymore.

there are many news jobs out there.
Just not at the big brainwash accadamies.
Alternative media is booming, and they are in dire need of new staff

Totally incorrect reasoning. People consume more news media than ever before. The reason jobs are being lost is the internet. Journalists using the internet can produce far more news, so you don't need to hire more people

>These fucks think their shitposting is (((quality journalism))) and that they should be paid for it.

I feel like we might, for maybe the first time in human history, have control over our destiny bros. The cracks in the hegemony of social information along with an internet where there is still liberty, even under a surveillance state of nearly unimaginable multitudes unironically gives me a hope for the future and a sense of self-government that probably hasn't existed in man since the industrial revolution. This kind of stuff must really piss off the commies.

Now for the rest. Keep improving yourself until each of us has the power to reshape this world for the better. Start a business, take free online courses, listen to audio books while you workout.
Jow Forums opened our eyes now we have to step forward.

Journalism is a hack career. Most of the actual good investigative journalist are unknown and instead we see the e-celebs network figureheads that are failed actors.

Coal gives us something tangible, energy to power our environment.

Journalists gives us innane shit that ultimately does nothing.

>lefties begging for government subsidies to fund their propoganda production

It’s almost like thier shit is unsustainable on its own or something

Attached: 63B9944D-EC48-4DCB-ABE8-5D349397919D.jpg (1024x576, 49K)

LOL FUCK (((journalists))).

>journalism
HAHAHAHA fucking kek. They are not journalists. Cernovich and Alex Jones, know that's real journalists.

Attached: jones[1].jpg (2490x1370, 351K)

START KILLING JOURNALISTS

i just enrolled in welding classes. im going to literally build the future

>those jobs aren't coming back, coal miners
>better learn how to code, rural retards
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA eat shit niggers.

More like, lost 238,000 jobs in PRINT journalism and gained 2 million in more modern technologies, like internet blogs, smartphone apps, etc.

You didn't innovate when the market did.

> when you get crowdsourced out of a job

Lol get fucked “journalists”

>get a degree in an oversaturated dying industry
>fail to adapt to the new paradigm
>claim to be educated
HAHAHAHAHAHA I fucking hate these journalists. That nepotism of letting every fucking Cohen, Stein, Berg into the industry sure has paid off HAHAHAH

Attached: old-chinease-man-laughing-pipe-23730739.jpg (1300x957, 144K)

And only 24.000 things of value were lost.

>and that's a good thing

(((Journalism))). You mean kikes might actually have to do work?

I have a degree in journalism, though after college I became pretty disillusioned with the profession and went in another direction. As fun as it may be to think that all these shitlib papers are dying because of their political slant, the truth is their politics don't matter. ALL physical publications are dying. Dailys, weeklys, even monthly magazines. They're all circling the drain at this point because of the internet.

When you can have instant access to breaking news, or opinion pieces, or just local events, all on the phone in your pocket? There's no reason to buy a paper that has news that is 12 hours old, at the very least.

>>literally an entire 1/1000th of the entire adult US population had and lost a job in journalism
That's probably about right if journalism includes all forms of the industry including printers, delivery, media entertainment and production. I'm an 'ex journalist' by that measure, having worked for (((them))) as a freelance technician.

A blogpost article about your personal feelings on anything and everything isnt journalism

>tfw your mere existence is enough to destroy the media and change the course of history forever

Attached: 1530652106107.png (451x462, 52K)

Oh no, that sucks.

Attached: NewspaperEndorsements.jpg (740x550, 122K)

The (((journalism))) field is oversaturated anyway. Why have millions of different outlets that still all read the fucking same?

But God how they burn pretty

>6,000,000 (((journalists))) have lost our jobs
Okay, this isn't cool. Can someone link me their GoFundMe?!

Journalists literally provide nothing of value. They are just snobs with megaphones.
