im 18 and i enrolled in welding school. i will have no debt and a $50k job when i graduate.

Enjoy wagecucking for the rest of your life faggot
Cause manual jobs are boring and intellectually not challenging enough. Why is it so complicated to understand?
They don't advertise very well.
Hopefully starting a trade apprenticeship this fall. If I pass the 4-on-1 interview, that is.
I’m sure there are some out there who do, it’s just very competitive when the average faggot thinks they can fix a car because Scotty Kilmer on JewTube told them they can fix a head gasket with a can of engine restore.
I done plumbing and then went on to focus on gas plumbing, started off about 30k at 19 then was on about 50k 22 and then got a job at a specialist gas plumbing company that works on cars and currently making 80k and get a company bmw and van.
>wagecuck
says future welfare parasite
Studying Bookbinding on my own right now and at school next year.
I'll have my own workshop in a few years, I'll settle in the countryside. I've spent 3 years in a city office as a wage cuck, and it's seriously not worth a lifetime.
hows chasing a fun meme career working out for em? life isnt fun. what matters is to learn something that puts food on the table
Also if anyone ITT works for a railroad in the USA, please reply
gatekeeped by boomers and illegals
>welding for $50k
Am I supposed to be impressed by this?
Lol you stupid leaf, he’s making the decision to earn the same amount in a year that he would PAY per year to go to a good school that doesn’t even guarantee a good job when you get out. I won’t throw too much hate because you guys love hockey.
im american. i could have a house before i can drink
>50K
Enjoy poverty.
A lot of times theres instability in trades. Not all, but many
Lol, you're going to get fucked up beyond belief and be in legal battles for the rest of your poor life after your boss fires you for some wetbacks that'll do your job with far less financial ambition and complaints.
The jews don’t need welders... they need more people to watch daytime tv shows..
If you can’t live off 30k you're a fuckin idiot
A lot more trades people start their own business than do college graduates.
Trades are just backbreaking labor unless you start a business.
Fuck offf Scotty did a great job on 9/11
>t. middle of nowhere
this my father is a carpenter and runs his own 6 figure construction business
>3 years of apprenticeship
>extra qualifications
>10-11€/hour
>40% taxes
>effectively less than welfare
>enough for food/rent only
>cant save anything
>cant afford children/dates
>no future
No idea, mate
.t tim hortons cashier
>50k / yr
>live minimally
>save for a 5 years
>buy a few houses
>rent them out to wagecucks
>live on that
Found a way to not be a wagecuck
lel
Sorry your parents are 9/11 cowards user.
There are apprenticeships that PAY YOU to learn how to be a certified welder.
I swear to god 99% of you are lucky to be to be alive based on the fact your parents fucked your brains up.
>Bookbinding
How are you posting from the year 1856?
>4-on-1 interview
Is it a casting couch?
Wtf, I'm doing welding and making 18k at 20, clearly chose the wrong career..
You can be completely retired at like 26 with that kind of money senpai
You don't have to waste your time going to welding school. It is not that difficult, you can learn it yourself. I know because I did. Took me just 3 months to get my pipe welding certificates.
Have questions, go to /n/. Lots of railfags there
I'm in uni and will have a 60k-70k job when I graduate and zero debt. Plus I plan on living with parents expense free and investing all of my money so I don't have to wage slave when I'm an old 35 year old boomer.
it's backbreaking work
I'd rather sit at a desk all day
in yurope maybe in america thats pretty good
How many illegals does he employ?
how exactly does that negate what the leaf said you fucking wagecuck?
thats my exact plan. im gonna slumlord in the ghetto and have niggers on my plantation so i dont need to work
'Intellectual' jobs are not fun they are just stressful
Even if it's about working in the industry in the near-to-mid future?
kek I made the same joke when I heard about that but its more like a "you must go before the union council to see if they wish to accept you into their special club" thing
I make 55k in a single income household in a rural community and I'm barely making it. Instituting socialism is a horrible idea but POTUS is giving fucking basedbean farmers billions of dollars to prop up his gay as fuck tariff war, but he can't do anything for the rest of middle America except MUH JOBS. What good is a job that pays the same wage as 20-30 years ago? Is food the same cost? Utilities? mortgages?
Meanwhile, disgusting pedos in Hwood makes BILLIONS a year to churn out trash movies and tv programming,
The jew DESERVES to wreck our shit. There is nothing here to strive for anymore. Find a trade indeed...
The eternal welfare leaf
They all come to the realisation that "intellectual" jobs are just monkey jobs wearing a suit once they leave university
source: exactly the realisation I had. Thought I'd try out a city job before joining the army as an officer. Realised hos shit it was. Never looked back.
Get out of (((the city)))
Not sure what state you're in op, but I'm a DOLfag, and LMI shows that welding, in most states, and as a nationwide trend, is an oversaturated occupation. Meaning, more people looking for jobs in that field than there are jobs to go around. This is largely due to the fact that every beaner in the world can weld shit, and shocker, they'll do it cheaper than you. I'm not trying to crush your dreams, but temper those expectations a bit as far as starting wage. I know it's nowhere near 50k in my state.
You are ready my son. Go fourth and free yourself
Yeah bud. It’s a slow board, go through the train threads, I’m sure someone has asked questions that you’re looking for. If not, find a thread and bump it with your Qs
Doesn't your beer cost like $50 for a 12 pack, leaf? Your higher salary doesn't mean shit when your cost of living and taxes are insane.
Nah. Cities are great
african with that much money you could retire far earlier than most amerilards today
>why arent millennials getting into trades?
Because they are weak, effeminate and entitled. They are the worst part of the career, and the best part. They are so worthless that they might as well not even exist. No influx of new workers means that my wages will continue to go up. I am over $42/hour + medical/dental/vision/pension/annuity/vacation.....But I am just some blue collar nobody with no college debt, no credit cards who is getting ready to buy another house. I am not even 40 years old.
t: Journeyman Pipefitter
good on you user.
smart to stay out of debt, try to keep it that way.
I’m a pipefitter which utilizes welding. In Massachusetts I make 75,000 right now at 28 years old. I will be able to make more than six figures specializing in building pharmaceutical plants and other industries in the area
Any job is good in america
I worked as waiter and labour without any experiences because I was motivated. Labour got me almost twice the money I get for a job in germany that I had to study 7 years for
I really dont get the complaining. Your job market is way less competetive than ours, less taxes and way higher pay for anyone with a little engagement..
what kind of welding are you doing? some welding is more valuable than others. learn to dive and you can make six figures welding in nuclear plants. skilled TIG welders also make bank. but there are some jobs a monkey could do that will be replaced by wetbacks.
Because tradespeople are the people who own the plumber businesses, the electricians, roofing companies, all the things you know nothing about because you're a sheltered boi
>get in to trade
>put money away
>get experience
>leave and start own business
>hire more employees
>hire a manager
>happily 'work' until you want to retire
>welding school.
My dad taught me how to be a tin smith (sheet metal mechanic) I don't know one person in the same filed as I that was 'taught' how to weld in a school. I am aircraft certified and never took a class. I don't think companies even hire people that went to school for welding. You should just go out and get an apprenticeship at a union job. You should be learning how to weld on the job, not in a classroom
Pretty much this. You aren't a "professional" and can be replaced by someone with a tidbit of training.
I unironically wish it was that year
Sounds like a plan bud good luck.
Most of them are lazy fucks who bought into the college meme and think they're entitled to $15+/hour without having to produce anything valuable. Good for you for making a very smart choice. Make sure you don't ever settle, though. And take care of your health. God bless you.
yea so you are a plumber and you will hire what? Exactly, other plumbers, so basically you have 1 plumber who "works" (and it stills counts as wagecucking) and 20 more that are wagecucks for every plumber bussiness. The retarded boomer tier mental gymnastics shall not pass.
>tell someone their whole life that if they do something they're a failure
>Why aren't they doing this thing
It's pretty obvious actually
Welding, especially with specialized licenses, can earn you six figures mid career.
Also the retarded boomer tier crap about manly wagecucks shall not pass.
I respect your decisions, but you have no room to complain about the high cost of living.
>engagement
That’s a key concept that the younger generation, and most of mine, don’t get. Somewhere in their mind the seed was planted that if they go to college, they’ll be handed a cool, well paying dream job along with their diploma. They don’t really have to work hard at it because, hell, life has been easy in America for them so far, why would it be hard or cut throat when they get out of college? They’re sallies.
>t. 31yo boomer
If you think owning your own business is wagecucking you're retarded. Their wage'cucks' because they're working to enrich someone else.
>The retarded boomer tier mental gymnastics shall not pass.
What are the mental gymnastics? Are you too retarded to be the 1 plumber bossing around 20 other plumbers and earning off of them? Then you deserve to be a grunt.
>t. Portland Antifa
they're
Aluminium TIG, making frames for doors, also put together some mild steel support beams with stick when needed. Actually quitting on Friday to do an agricultur apprenticeship in Germany for 3 years instead, the town is near a large lake and was actually considering learning to dive
50k is not luxury in the country, either.
I was making $20.30 a hour on a scale job as a first year electrician apprentice
i have autism and learned how brutal life is from day 1. i wish i could have lived in the utopia normalfags got to live in
!Mexicans lowered wages of trades so much it's now min wage. unless you white man with contractors licence.
its enough to buy a home in most places except for cali or something.
$50,000 is pretty nice where I live.
Anybody can weld, it's not even a skill that need to be taught, I agree with this
Learning how to fashion steel into shit is a skill that need to be taught, not welding
You want to learn how to weld, by the cheapest crappiest arc welder at home depot and start welding in your garage . If you can weld with a garbage welder, you can weld with a heliarc
TIG welding is the patrican choice
Same dude. Got that dream welding job now. Litterally listen to podcast all day.
I live in one of the 20 most populated cities in the US and live off 35k in my own place with no roommates. It's not hard as long as you don't get had by the Jews.
Wow, snazzy
Beautiful
What's welding school like? Can you enter with no knowledge? Please respond.
OK boomer
Given the way my mind is working lately I think I'm gonna try for boilermaker if I can't get a sparky gig.
I think cutting and re-shaping metal may be useful skills in future.
smart-union.org
Get an apprenticeship, don't go to school bro
I'm going to be a slightly better compensated wagecucking slave why doesn't anyone else want to do this
Reminder to ignore all leafposts.
>Because trade school is expensive.
>Because trades are labor intensive and some people (like yours truly) couldn't work a trade even if they wanted to.
>Because trade schools have many of the same problems as universities, i.e. turning out students with an overly generalized set of skills in a surprisingly competitive market that demands specialization for gainful employment.
>Because trades are notoriously boom-and-bust, and the employee pool can over-saturate almost as rapidly as white-collar administrative fields.
>Because trades require long apprenticeships which are never guaranteed to new graduates and pay absolute dog shit for two years or more.
>Because the median annual pay of trades is ultimately lower than the median annual salary of STEM based professions, and the highest decile of tradesmen earn far less than the highest decile of white-collar professionals.
Find your local union and get an apprenticeship, you will learn far more than just how to weld that way
I'm turned on by the smell of sewage so i think ill be a plumber. They make on average 28$ an hour here
When people say
>I make 50k
Is that before taxes or after taxes?
I catch alot of my countrymen claiming they make more than 50k but this is before taxes. After they might only have 25-30k net. Which is a pretty standard income and will get you through the year. Wagecuckery with a cherry on top. Pretty pathetic desu, but one can manipulate ones own mind by telling yourself this is what you want in life and you like what you do, yeeeeehhh.
I never went to a trade school, I applied for an apprenticeship for a union job
>Anybody can weld
You have no clue. None whatsoever. You realize that there are places that exist that verify EVERY single weld via X-ray? High pressure gas, steam, and dangerous chemicals allmost always are x-ray'd to verify that there is no porosity in the joint. If anyone could do it, they wouldn't be offering $60+/hour in addition to $150/day perdiem. The reason why they offer these welders so much is because they are worth it.....Most welders are junk-yard losers (myself included). I don't have any issue doing basic joints or structural steel....but the critical joints are best left to the experts. I only have 12 years of practice.
>TIG welding is the patrican choice
That looks great, but could you please brush that shit off. It is great that you have a pretty blue ring, but it looks like shit. Also, TIG is certainly the best choice for welding! It always looks great when done by an expert.
>What's welding school like? Can you enter with no knowledge? Please respond.
Of course you can lol. There are plenty of options including community colleges or local union halls.
>Find your local union and get an apprenticeship, you will learn far more than just how to weld that way
>Get an apprenticeship, don't go to school bro
Best advice ever. Apprenticeships are more then just learning a skill.
>I'm going to be a slightly better compensated wagecucking slave why doesn't anyone else want to do this
I make over $40/hour + all the benefits. I get a raise every year. Some times its only $0.75, and sometimes its $1+.
BRUSH THAT SHIT OFF FFS!
T: Journeyman Pipefitter
Kek because tradesmen wish they made the kind of money I make.
>entry level position
>around national average
yeah im going to community college. it costs ~$2000 for the whole program and will take 2 years to finish. you dont even need a highschool diploma to do that
