I've argued with leftists IRL and let me tell you it doesn't fucking matter how well sounding or factual your argument is they just shout you down every time and stick their fingers in their ears going LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I tend to win all my arguments. Online or offline. That's because I don't argue about things I don't know about. Leftists do tend to have a very annoying habit of ranting and raising their voice until they're screaming, and they usually end the debate by pretending to be offended and walking away. I actually work with several leftists, some trump voters too.
I've taken apart their ideas but it rarely changes anyone's mind. People prefer to just float around conversation with their own ideas without directly interacting in a disagreeing manner.

Something I've found interesting is how much more receptive leftists are when you refer to Trump as a useful idiot championing certain things you feel need to be done. They can not and will not double back on the way the media, two years of positive social feedback, and Trump himself have conditioned them against him, but they can see merit to his platform when presented in the proper way.

The reality, of course, is that Trump's emitting a constant siren song of inane bullshit from his mouth while his hands work miracles under the surface. Peace talks with North Korea. Mexico electing its first proper social reformer in its 30 years of democracy. America's employment rate surging. Things are kind of nice right now, and I think that's why normal people are kinda winding down with the political fervor.

Their most popular tactic is labeling the other as a bigot/racist/etc. in order to marginalize the person and alienate them away from “the norm” in the eyes of others. Bring up sources and they’ll dismiss them and label you a conspiracy theorist.
Anyone who argues logic against liberals is wasting their time. They’re driven by emotion and that’s the approach I’ll take: Making them feel bad about their political positions, and I do it much better than they can.
