How did Japan grow one of the largest, most successful economies in the world after a mere 40 years after facing one of the most horrific attacks in human history?
How could a country made up of a bunch of islands in the orient able to emulate western civilization, minus the diversity, so well?
What separates the Japanese work ethic and culture from that of the Haitians, Chinese, and even most other first world countries?
They face similar natural disasters like Haiti, yet they don't need charity or aid to solve their problems and overcome them all each and every time.
Is it genetic? Cultural? Both? Just how the hell did they do it?
I mean, weren't they poor as fuck and basically undeveloped prior to the bombing, granted my pre-war knowledge of Japanese society isn't the best, but goddamn they're impressive.
Cooper Hernandez
Then what about other East Asian countries like the Philippines? They have no Blacks and are more or less ethnostates, so what gives?
Nolan Rodriguez
No n*ggers (people that annoy you)
Wyatt Brown
they aren't shitskins.
Joseph Baker
Filipinos are the Slavs of the Asian world
Justin Johnson
koreas and chinks already fill out that role for japan.
Samuel Jenkins
Economic help from us plus spending virtually no money on their military since WW2 due to us forcing them not to.
Jason Roberts
No, they industrialized earlier than all the other Asian nations and by the early 1900s they were propelled into great power status after completely crippling the Russia fleet in a war.
Japan is not that different from other East Asians - see Taiwan, SK, Singapore, and now China is following the same formula. Japan was just the earliest to modernize due to the Meiji Restoration.
Sebastian Nelson
Neither are the Chinese, yet the majority are extremely poor and uneducated.
Camden Carter
Japan was a US manufacturing protectorate and their supply lines, resource acquisition, shipping, and security were handled by USA. As soon as their products were up to par, they were able to access world’s largest consumer market.
Isaac Lopez
Philippines are not East Asian
they are the mutt offspring of island abbos and Chinese sailors
Brody Adams
lmfao *this exactly*
Ayden Barnes
Just the Meiji restoration really. When a bunch of highly addictive personalities see a bunch of guys with advanced technology when all they smiths have built in years is swords and hoes. They fucking go crazy with the new knowledge
Sebastian Johnson
China is just late to the game due to history
collapse of the Qing dynasty, civil war, ww2, and communism
Jayden Turner

Haven't other countries received economic backing from the US as well, yet still remain underdeveloped?
Wyatt Anderson
>How did Japan grow one of the largest, most successful economies in the world after a mere 40 years after facing one of the most horrific attacks in human history?
A) No niggers and no kikes.
Parker Harris
All East Asian countries that received economic backing from US have become prosperous - Taiwan, South Korea, Japan
It's genetic and cultural
David Sanders
China assimilated a lot of shitty people during it's expansion, the Japanese kept themselves pure.
Charles Baker
They just took whatever the local abilities were and pushed them to their fullest potential. The Japs already showed an aptitude for factory production, engineering, etc, and USA wisely encouraged that. The Flips, on the other hand, had done nothing much on their own and were used accordingly in the new global economic model.
Basically you figure out what a people are good at and then have them do that.
Brayden Carter
American investment. Building a loyal puppet state has been greatly rewarding. A united Asia would be a hindrance to our interest.
I generally agree, although I’m remembering the 98 crash and the Asian tigers. The Philippines and Thailand also received heavy backing from the US but they’re fucking shitholes. I wouldn’t say all countries that receive western, or more specifically, American investment has led to success. It’s got a lot to do with how advanced they were prior to their entering the US orbit
