Reminder that rights are negative, restricting the government and giving power to the individual. OP's pic is exactly why our court systems are getting fucked up.

It would be more accurate to say the parents have rights to raise their child and the child has the same rights as a citizen with restrictions and privileges based on age. But parents can be taken into custody for crimes, leaving the child up to other family, courts, etc.

Which is to say we should do the best we can for children, but framing being with a parent as a "right" is silly and useless. Doesn't meme as well though, so welcome to internet communication.

Before we forced people to wed and would socially outcast them if they refused. Now we have parents bringing a child into the world and because they aren't madly in love with each other, they subject a child to a lifetime of nightmarish torture in order to avoid 20ish years of inconveniencing themselves.

It's better to avoid this at all in the first place by enforcing monogamy and sex before marriage STRICTLY. When people don't think they have a chance to "do better" they will be happy with what they have. This isn't something that's meant to make incels be able conscripted wives and the left makes it into, but to keep the family structure intact. There is nothing worse in this life, both for males and females, than to be deprived of a proper family.
