I lived in a neighborhood with lots of Russian immigtation and now my husband is Russian. From my experience Russians are very generous and welcoming. Even if they do not have much money they will still share what little they have with you which I found very shocking.

In high school we would have socialism and pro communism teachings forced upon us. All the Russian kids would challenge the teachers and attempt to fight the nonsense being taught which I found very admirable.

Well, I actually started liking Russia before I was on pol many years ago. I've been there several times and St. Petersburg is still my favorite city. Russians can be rough around the edges as strangers but I appreciate the honesty of my Russian friends.
