If birth rates decline below 2.1 children per woman (replacement level), the average age of the population grows. If you have ever seen a population pyramid for a western country, you may notice they bulge outwards at around 40-50, meaning there are more people in this age group than below. Give it 25 years and this age group starts to retire, or enter a 25+ year period of economic inactivity, meaning that someone else has to pay for them. Normally this would fall to their kids, but if they never had any children this burden falls to the state. The idea is supposed to be that your pension pays for this, but the money that they paid in to the pension system wasn't put in a bank account to be given to them when they retire. No, it was spent funding social programs like welfare, food stamps and healthcare for other people decades ago. To continue this scheme, you need a steady population increase to keep the productive (working-age) population higher than the unproductive retiree population. If this balance tips in favour of the retirees, this ponzi scheme will fold in on itself and the economy will collapse. It's why the EU are importing migrants as fast as they possibly can. They prefer to inflate the population at all costs rather than admit that Europeans need to start having more babies.

We are not seeing these issues you mention and we aren't going to under this scheme.

It's increasing life expectancy that is getting us into this mess. We simply do not have the resources to keep everyone alive until they reach age 100. Who pays for them once they stop working? You don't get it. You are making a few assumptions here, namely that immigrants will always assimilate, always want to work and always be productive. There are a great many ways this can go wrong; investment on their education and once they have it they fuck off back to their home country, they send all the money they make back home, they undercut local workers by being willing to work below the minimum wage, etc, etc. This only benefits the already wealthy and does nothing to lift your poor countrymen out of poverty. Rich people have less children by virtue of the fact that they have to spend most of their time working, women especially. The opportunity cost of a working woman having a child is huge, and it doesn't help that they get told by the media they can 'have it all' and work until they are in their 40s and still have kids (much higher incidence of down's syndrome and other birth defects after this age).
