This one is explained by gravity. All things are pulled toward the center of mass of all other things. Our planet is of such a magnitude that we can only feel its gravity, not much else. The moon has gravity enough to influence the movement of our oceans, hence the tide. That "flat" waterway requires no elevators because the water level is equidistant from the center of the earth at either end.

This is even more dumb because the image itself shows the longitude lines. The intervals are three times the size near the outer rim of the image. A minor amount of common sense dispels it.

Here is the thing about (((gravity))). It is strong enough to have the moon orbit the earth, but light enough to not crush us into the earth? I do believe in density where the more dense an object is it will fall the the ground and less dense it goes up into the atmosphere. But the orbiting of masses and the moon affecting ocean waves is pure theoretical science. It is made up science to prove space theory.

I don't view the question of the topology of the Earth as important. I saw some other person in another thread claim the moon self illuminates and this would explain its red color during lunar eclipse. When I asked him about the shadow residue that is left on it during the beginning and end of the eclipse he provided no explanation.

Hey OP, people will hate me for this, call me a shill or whatever but Earth really is a globe-like shape. It isn't exactly a sphere, it is a LOT more pear-shaped than you would think, in fact. How can you prove to yourself that the earth isnt flat? Well this isnt exactly easy but it is 100% doable by a single person. All you need is two people or one person and a camera and two equal length sticks. Place a slanted stick on a clear (easier to see) surface at specific latitude, and place another stick at the same angle, parallel to the other stick and much further away, at least a hundred miles or so, along the same longitude (due north/south). Now look at the shadows that they cast at the exact same time of day and measure their distances, and you will see that they are NOT the same (Use your camera to record the length of the stick you currently cannot see, or have a friend do this). Using this, you can actually roughly estimate the "circumference" (not a perfect sphere) of the earth. This is how Eratosthenes first calculated the circumference of the earth to .16% accuracy. Youre welcome, OP :^)

The earth is FAR too small to have any significant effect on the experience of travelling light, even if you ascribe yourself to the flat earth claim you can't possibly think that 670,616,629 miles per hour even flinches in the minute size of the earth
