Are people stupid in thinking everyones gonna go this route. Its hilarious to think someone would spend a lot of money to print a gun when a true gun nut can make gun out of like idk 20 dollars worth of materials if that and house hold objects.
I dont know. It is funny see the right panic over guns for once though(its only cause they cant profit from it)
Old people panicking over 3d printed guns
I love the angle Cody Wilson came at this project with "using progressive ideas to make gun control impossible"
>Old people panicking
It's okay. It's what they do. They know they'll be dead soon. The boomer never imagined death would come for them. They always thought they could subjugate the young forever by way of Marxism.
>the NRA is freaking out because 3d printed guns are going to cut into the profits of gun manufacturers!
You are as stupid as the people you criticize if you think 3d printed guns pose any sort of threat to the firearms industry's profits margin. Im tired of all these brainlets who do not understand the market thinking people will stop buying guns because they can print a shitty plastic gun with files that have been online for more than 5 years.
Man you project an awful lot dont you.
In no way did I say that it was going to even cause a dent in the gun manufacturers pocket no shit people will always want real reliable professionally crafted fire arms.
Looks like they are gonna ban all 3d printers in the uk though cant have you pesky brits able to defend yourself from criminal, invader, terrorist or your own corrupt government.
>its funny to see the right panic over guns because they cant profit from it
You are repeating the same bs argument made by idiots who think the gun industry is backing the efforts made by leftists to ban the files because they are afraid it will cut into sales, which is absolutely retarded. Also Im not a bong, but Im happy they can access these files and be armed in case of emergency.
>buy $500 3d printer
>make a bunch of guns and sell them to people
>become black market arms dealer
Boomers should be scared I'm sending these things out on every street, and I'm only selling to black teens so lookout.
What's funny is if they ban guns 3d printed guns will skyrocket and they can't do shit about it since the files are free on the dark web and probably on clearnet torrent sites. It's funny that guns have now become a computer file, literally impossible to get rid of them now.
Thats not how the gun black market works user but have a (you)
I am not using the argument of anybody else. They are saying its making them mad because itll cut into their business and they seriously mean it I guess. I IN A JOKING MANNER am saying they are finally mad about guns because they can't make a dime off of it. I don't care if my statement is factually true. The bigger thing that I find more hilarious is the aforementioned anybody could make a gun out of anything they can find instructions on the internet and library but we are in mass panic over this hunking hard to conceal one shot plastic pocket pistol.
Funny, I thought liberals were fine with inaccurate single shot guns.
A Black Black market?
>It's okay. It's what they do. They know they'll be dead soon. The boomer never imagined death would come for them. They always thought they could subjugate the young forever
based up until this point
what kind of firepower can a printed gun have anyways? Sounds like controlled opposition.
Probably could kill.
yea at punching range against some shirtless dude. hooray...
can they be used to make grenades and mortars and so on, because that might not be the best thing
Even a .22 will kill you dead. In the U.S more people are murdered each year with .22s than with 9mm, .45acp, or any rifle caliber. A .22 behind the ear will put down a gator and certainly a person. As with anything, shot placement matters more than caliber.
what's to stop people making a bow and arrow in the woods and shooting someone? The concept is essentially the same. I could perhaps understand the arguments against the 3d printing of guns if the average person was able to make a GAU 8 in their bedroom, but this just seems trivial. A bow and arrow would probably have a faster reloading time too. Also to consider: You can 3d print a gun, but you still need to go and buy the ammo for it.
Hey in theory your gun really should only be used in a situation that is kind of like this.
I know you're trying to be cute but a shirt aint gonna do anything in terms of protecting you.
Sorry but I need a gun against a swat team with snipers, not the local druggie.
Yeah this is a complete non issue turned into clickbait. In the US you practically just have to walk in a gunshop to buy a gun, it's even easier and more convenient than 3D printing.
And in countries where "making guns easily available" would be a new thing, there would still be the ammunition wall in the way.
just go to instagram and get an insta gun brah
If you really wanted to cause trouble you wouldnt sell them, you would just leave them in public around your city
>these people are running our country
Obligatory YOU WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD A GUN
Also, the reason why more reasonable people are freaking out is that, yes, while gun nuts could always make guns, this lets insane people with NO know-how or trigger discipline or intelligence enough to make a gun... make a gun anyways. That said, it's a retarded argument still. The world is changing. Higher-level technology is becoming more readily available to the masses. At the end of the day, increasingly more destructive power is becoming more easily available.
It's only a matter of time before a schizophrenic will be able to get his hands on a CRISPR machine and make a species-ending virus, and these 3-D printed guns are the first hints of such potential. If we can't even figure out how to not outright ban guns to avoid school shootings, insane gang wars, etc., then society is painfully unprepared for its own progress. If the only solution we can come up with is increasingly stricter control on personal freedom, we'll eventually end up with absurd scenarios like your cell-phone self-destructing the moment you try to replace the battery, in order to prevent you from harvesting components to make a hypercomputer capable of hacking the government's nuclear missile silos.
We either need to make humanity good enough for its own progress, or face an increasingly totalitarian grip on personal freedom. This is just one of the early obvious displays of the bigger issue. Maybe it takes genetically engineering out crippling mental illness. Maybe it takes yearly mental health checks and prompt, targeted intervention. Who the fuck knows...
imagine being a democrat and believing this trash
and then voting for this person
I just want a 3d printer to make qt anime girls figurines
>Be progun for 60 70 years
>Plastic printed gun
>Special Snowflake panic
