Also, I think you may be very interested in reading this book. The mind of primitive man by Franz Boas ( archive.org/details/mindofprimitivem031738mbp ) . Don’t read “about him” fromwinioedia and etc , read HIM by checking out he text itself at the link I just sent. He is a super famous anthropologist . The book is quite old (1910 I think) , but that’s about how far back you have to go to find academic type lit that takes your claims very seriously , and does a thorough, exhaustive analysis of race and culture and anthropology. He’s impartial about it , have a look for yourself . He doesn’t do much say you’re wrong as he does say that that doesn’t match with the evidence as well as other theories . And the theory he offers in place sort of reverses the causal arrow from the one you describe , arguing that geography causes culture which in turn causes race . Likely race also in turn causes culture and geography. it’s also the same book that sort of resulted in phrenology being labeled as pseudo science going forward . His evidence is pretty definitive , or anyway really convincing and super convincing at the time. I think the reason it is as convincing as it is , is because the author writing it begins with the beliefs you describe , and also as a believer in phrenology himself. he expects to find all those things , and then gathers a shit done of evidence , and then ponders for a while about it not matching up quite right. Anyway, have a look and see what you think.

First, a good deal of whites live in areas where seasons were not serious ie close to the equator. Greece, Italy, Rome to name a few. And the Inuits, proto Slavics also had to deal with serious seasons.

Second, Africa does have seasons. There are seasonal droughts and rainfall which cause vast migrations of animals. Rivers also flood which would destroy all the crops, requiring understanding of geography, soil and weather, which is more complex than seasons.

Optimal crop growth also has little to do with seasons. There are crops that survive in winter. Crop rotation to keep the field fertile is what's important.

That's an important point, and one that gets overlooked on here a lot. Raw IQ does correlate with overall successful outcomes in life, but it also correlates with conditions that lead to low time preference, as you discuss. Plenty of low-IQ people are productive and even ultimately successful members of society; it really comes down to making a few really important decisions correctly, like not having kids with someone you're not married to and maintaining some kind of employment. The overwhelming majority of people who don't have kids in their teens or out of wedlock and who work ANY job are not living in poverty, it's something like 98% according to Forbes.

But those are all traps (not the gay kind) for people with low time preference and poor impulse control.
