Is it dangerous to have a minimum wage?

Not as dangerous as it is not to

I mean if we didn't wouldn't companies pay employees less?

yes, but more dangerous is any marxist statist ideology

no, that's commie talk

only if they are worth less :)

I don't know desu.

It's all a fucking scam, everybody loses to China anyway.

The only solution is to close your borders, raise import tax to 1000%, tax moving money out of the country with 40%, and remove minimum wages alltogether. If all product is domestic prices will always adjust to the average earnings, otherwise it won't sell.

if employees want to be paid more they should generate more value for the employer

>how do we combat inflation?
>with more money you fool

Yes. Fiat currency is just as bad though.

>expected inflation of 10000% in 2018
>money was already weighted with a scale in 2017
>the solution is to rise minimum wage by 50%

>raise import tax 1000%
No thanks

Genius, you fix the problems from your massive government scheme with more government schemes. After that you print more money and repeat. Socialism really works

Q predicted this

Eliminate Minimum Wage to encourage domestication of itchy corporations while also slapping a massive tax penalty on any corporation that moves out of country. It's a compromise but it would result in both competition but also benefits to the domestic market and workers.

Yes it is awful and anticompetitive. Libertarianism is the way forward 100%. Factory workers, farmhands, bricklayers etc can just retrain for a better job if they can't afford to feed their kids, or work more hours. A 60 hour week builds character, and its good for the company too. We have minimum wage in this country and its an unmitigated disaster. Businesses are crippled, the economy is awful and worst of all its hurt the workers. The workers took the brunt of the damage.

You guys should listen to your senators, wall street economists and CEOs. Learn from our mistakes, please. I don't want anyone to suffer what Australia is going through.

The companies have to compete with the government paid welfare, they get, if they don't have a job.

kek

Just ask the germans about their 8.50€ minimum wage and entire sectors going to employ 100% of their staff on temporary state subsidized 1€ jobs where they fire you every 4 months just to employ you again after getting Gibs for 30 days to circumvent work laws....

Yes. Black people were doing great fiscally until the dems instituted minimum wage. Then black male unemployment tripled, so the dems instituted welfare.

Why haven't they dumped the Bolivar at this point? There are currencies in old online games that are worth more than that shit.

No but as diversity members are not productive enough to be paid at minimum wage, they get jobless so it is fucking raycis.

Yes people should work for free.

Yes but since we dont have a free market already its mostly just a curb.

kek, which will trigger further inflation.

Spot on user.
No nation can regulate their resources
ie. the labour costs of it's workers because markets are now globalised.
And rightly China wins because it has a billion peasants paid peanuts to do everything -;iterally everything!
The only winner are the big multinational corporations.
We are quickly moving into a corpocracy.
Ironically corporations will demand universal income.
As soon, there wont be a big enough consumer class with the means to buy their shit.
In other words, it will be the Corporations who bring in a new system.
This new system will be a confluence of capitalism with greater social welfare.
Get used to it.
I expect most of the posts on here to be myopic and talk shit.
Little do people realize when a currency is dirt cheap it's stock market will be the inverse.
For example in 2017 the best performing stock market in the world was Venuzula.
My point by raising this, is the markets are a man made 'food chain', an equilibrium when one thing will always affect something else.
There's always a trade off -always.
You cannot benefit something without screwing over somebody or something else.
Of course what we really need is a resource economy!
But we are 100 years from people even understanding what the hell that even is.

farming WoW gold will still make you more money

>You guys should listen to your senators, wall street economists and CEOs
WUT?!
listen to the kikes on wall street, bang on about an inexact science which they exploit to get richer.
You dont know what you're talking about.
Even the Rothchild's favourite economist Stiglitz et al are talking about a big change needed and it's all going to shit
