Yes and no. What if the woman recants due to pressure? Rape cases are tough. There's no dead body or material possessions as proof of anything. Generally it's just a person's word against another, and it's a shit show. Which is my most men accused of rape get away with it, guilty or not.
The real problem is publicly naming people who are accused. They should be held to the same privacy as minors are unless proven guilty. That would solve a lot of problems.
