Why do people call the Nazis "monsters" and think that they were so evil?
My great grandma is Polish (she lived in General Government) and she claims that the Nazis were one of the nicest people she has ever met...(a Nazi general even bought her a dress)
On the other hand she told me that the Russians were the real monsters - they raped women and plundered every village.
So why do people say that the Nazis were so evil? Why is it more acceptable nowadays to go out into the streets with a red flag with a hammer and sickle on it while playing the anthem of the USSR than to say a sentence like "Hitler wasn't that bad" (Stalin killed much more people)

And in poland as they were loading civilians onto a train a woman was begging an officer that she not be separated from her infant and he smashed her on the head with the butt of his rifle causing her to drop the infant. He then kicked the baby down cobble stone stairs.
