They are much bigger than you think, but a lot less organized and structured as people think. The mob in the US and Europe are more of a loose connection of organized smaller cells. The biggest thing they do is counterfeit goods. I had a relative working fairly high up in corporate Target for years (low level executive). They did an audit a few years back and determined that upwards of 30% of the Levi jeans were fake.
Same thing with cigarettes, designer clothing, electronics, alcohol, and almost anything you can imagine. However, these counterfeit goods are often the same, if not better, quality than the originals, since 95% of the cost is simply the brand name.

Depends, nowadays mafias have hackers, but so do governments. The governments of the modern world are Satanic, Mafias usually strike deals with them so they can get away with their criminal activities(such as sharing their profits with county, state, or federal police and government) and for amnesty. Governments also infiltrate mafias and mafias infiltrate governments and businesses. Add Jews to the mix and it gets even more tribal. Both mafias and governments black mail each other so they almost always lay in the same bed. Both governments and mafias can use psychic abilities such as remote viewing and divination to maintain control(probably Satanic or otherwise spiritual)

While I don't always agree with the government and think following ALL their rules makes you a huge chump, I still think mafia men are typically scum and dangerous. There is a fine line between a mafia, a secret order, and a terrorist organization. I think secret orders and terrorist organizations are more noble than mafias but they are often the same thing. Terrorist organizations are typically politically motivated, that's what differentiates them, secret orders can either be satanic or enlightened and culturally/racially motivated, while mafias tend to be scum and a negative criminal element.

If I was going to break any "rules" or felt like I had to, I would form a secret order, based on tribe and race.

Depends on types:

Italians are traditional by keeping it as a lifestyle

Irish keep it as a way of operating their business under the noses.

Chinese are mixed, some are quiet and calculating, some will send men to your family's house and chop them up with cleavers.
