I used to think my uncles and grandfather were playing it up bitching about the yanks in Nam being retarded. 2 tours later in Afghanistan and multiple training exercises with them up north when not deployed made me realise they were sugarcoating it.

Not all of them are bad - they just have a huge variation in troop quality. There is a tiny minority of actual soldiers I would happily fight with that are carrying the unbridled retards. The top brass are aware of this and mostly seem to have a policy that if they have overwhelming force and lots of toys they will win any engagement.

However having to buy US boots and pants off their QM's due to the shockingly bad quality of our own gear is both nice and depressing.

I would love to be a soldier if this world wasn't a pozzed shithole that needs to burn to the ground. I fight for myself now, for honor.
