>How is Donald Trump similar to, or different from, authoritarians and fascists such as Adolf Hitler? In what ways are "regular people" and Trump's "average" supporters implicated and responsible for his assault on democracy and campaign of cruelty? To what extend does the cruelty of Trump and his enablers toward immigrant children and other groups channel the evils of the Nazi regime?
>if we wait for Trump and this moment to fully become like Hitler and the Nazis, and that is the point at which you start to act, then it is already too late. The unfortunate aspect is that if you set the bar so high in terms of outrage and horror then people all too often let things continue when they could have been stopped earlier. Once it gets to that point it's way too late.
>Where I see things going right now with Donald Trump is that if he is not stopped the result will be some form of authoritarian, racially exclusionary democracy. My focus is much less on a particular system, whether he's a fascist or not. It's much more the question of exclusion. Trump and his allies are trying to create a kind of white, Christian, male-dominated national community for their followers. He's drawing the boundaries around that community and excluding all those groups that don't fit in, whether it's the handicapped, immigrants, Muslims, Jews or other groups. Those Americans and others who are not part of Trump's imagined community will be second-class citizens and will have their rights restricted.
>I can't say that everyone who voted for Trump is a racist. But there was no secret to his beliefs, just as there was no secret to Hitler's. So if you voted for him for some other reason, obviously, again, you were not bothered enough by Trump's racism to prevent you from voting for him. So there's a certain tolerance and acceptance of racism among Trump's voters and supporters.
Scott was a godsend candidate; very well could win that race. Hopefully the GOP directs their funds into ND, MO, IN, and WV now. Also noticed the GOP candidate in New Jersey is outspending Menendez 2:1. Maybe they think they have a chance to win there.
Trump won Florida by a very decent margin. About two points, and this was despite higher turnout which usually favors Democratic candidates. Very good to see considering Florida is a monumental state in elections.
Virginia will never go red again. You can thank the exponentially increasing population of government workers from DC in the north for that.

I want to stop waiting for Trump to become Hitler. I hope he does go Hitler for my birthday in six days.
Why the hell does the party in the White House lose seats in midterms? Don't the supporters want to go out and vote to ensure their party stays in power?

BREAKING: NEW EMERSON POLL ON OHIO 12 SPECIAL ELECTION TOMORROW
DANNY O'CONNOR (D) 47% TROY BALDERSON (R) 46% UNDECIDED 7%
Yeah, but Fairfax County is the most populous county or county equivalent in VA. They always report late. It’s also a sanctuary county so it is reliably blue.
I always assumed it was complacency or mass schizophrenia
Jace Rivera
Too little too late? I hope not, for Heather Bong and the other couple of you.
Jason Myers
The opposition is angry while the party in power is complacent. Worthless poll because it oversamples non-whites by like 15%.
Henry Foster
>Virginia will never go red again. You can thank the exponentially increasing population of government workers from DC in the north for that. My wife and I do everythingbwe can up here, but northern Virginia is full of the brown horde.
Gavin Howard
See you tomorrow.
Luis Wright
Nope, usually supporters of the ruling party get complacent and stay home, while the opposition party which is vying for power usually is more energized. That being said, GET OUT AND VOTE, even if you live in California or Massachusetts; every single GOP vote counts.
This is not a good sign. If O'Connor wins, that is a huge morale boost for Dems across the Rust Belt; it confirms the polls showing depressed GOP and Trump approval there and signals a once strong Republican district finally being flipped.
Hunter Evans
There was an election expect who talked about how Nashua, Broward County and Wayne County came in so late that "she was 100% sure the vote was tampered with"
I debunked it two threads ago

O’Connor won’t win. The poll is a piece of shit that over samples non-whites by 10%

How can you criticize multiculturalism when everyone in the world loves Los Angeles because of its diversity?

HELP /ptg/ Ive sent hundreds of dick picks to every girl I know and I still don't have a gf. What else can I do?

>brown horde You mean white cucks. There are whole states that are incredibly brown and still manage to vote Republican by solid margins (TX, MS, GA).
This is a unique special. The winner will only hold the seat for five months. The same two guys are right back on the November ballot. So the "complacency/energized" received wisdom can play out on a short-cycle basis. If O'Connor wins tomorrow, the startled complacents should turn out for November. It becomes a rented seat.
Trivia footnote: the otherwise useless libertarian party is running a candidate named O'Connor.
Eli Wood
Whites vote as blocks in those states.

At least I know my son is redpilled. Gonna have keep muh head on a swuvel when he goes off to college next year though.

That's what happens when you border DC, arguably the most liberal city in the USA. I think SF is more conservative than them hahaha
I heavily disagree with the statement than minority turnout will be depressed. The Dems have done a pretty good job at registering them and busing them out in recent elections; given the high identity politics skew of this midterm, I expect high Hispanic turnout; I don't know about black.
Nathan King
Brainlet here, what to say to btfo the "but PRIVATE COMPANIES it's THEIR PLATFORM" argument?
NC votes 65R - 30D - 5I and still manages to stay red.

>Trump and other Republicans and Trump-supporting conservatives en masse only care about people who are in their group. Therefore, if you make fun of Ivanka Trump you are going to be demonized. But for them, if you make a horrible remark about a disabled child who has been removed from the arms of her mother: "So what?" That person’s mother should never have crossed the border. They are not thinking about that person as a human being. Trump's comments after Charlottesville where he called Nazis and other white supremacists "very fine people" was just another example of this.
>With Trump's nationalistic rallies, and all of his language and imagery, he is setting up an environment where violence is possible. No one should be surprised when the violence occurs because we have seen that throughout history. Trump's intentions do not matter.
>Once a process of violence and nationalism on a massive scale starts there is very little that can be done by regular people.. For example, the only people who could stop Hitler after a certain point were the Russians, the Americans and the British. Individuals could not do it even though they tried.
>The scary part is the enablers and those other people who are in a position to stop Trump or otherwise restrict him but either aren't doing anything or are actually making the situation worse. There are, of course, people in the Republican Party in both houses of Congress who are complete cowards.
>Again, Hitler couldn’t do anything without people who helped him ... and those people were not all Nazis.
>Hitler became more popular as time went on, because he succeeded in doing things that people wanted. The economy improved -- not necessarily because of his policies, but it did improve. So the more success he had, the more Hitler was able to win people over. This included people who hadn't voted for him before.
True. One of the things that burns my ass today is I had a brand new, sealed copy of Robo Aleste! We got it for $9.99. I opened it, used it, and lost it! That thing's going for megabucks nowadays! My Playstation was a JVC X'EYE! Those are going for big money, too! But, the memories were kinda worth it.
>we're back Trump is literally Hitler The media is less amusing than pastaleaf

Most young people here are extremely bluepilled. I have hopes on the youngest ones, though. They like to watch the SJW BTFO COMPILATION type of videos. They are dumb, but a first step on a long path. But yeah, take care of him. Brainwashing via blames on race/gender is very easy in some places.

KOBACH all the way brother. Totally anti-immigrant; we once were hoping he'd be Trump's DHS secretary pick. He's as good as you can get on immigration and voter ID.
I see it as the Dems will say it's a referendum on Trump's presidency if O'Connor wins. That means it will provide a morale boost for neoliberals going into the election since it seems feasible they could deal the GOP some revenge for 2010.
>Trivia footnote: the otherwise useless libertarian party is running a candidate named O'Connor. That could actually be helpful, especially if the Libertarian O'Connor is above the Democratic one on the ticket.
>That's what happens when you border DC, arguably the most liberal city in the USA. I think SF is more conservative than them hahaha The best part is when people leave DC and MD, they shit up VA by voting for the same policies that made their old place a shithole! Also, DC has a changing tide as minorities are priced out and forced into MD. Whites are moving in so it may become slightly more conservative than SF.
They still have the power to swing if there is only a gap of 1-2 points between the two candidates. Still, the fact this seat is even up for grabs shows how bad of a position the GOP is in.
You can't beat brainwashing, especially if you turn all the girls leftist because the men will become left-wing just so they can get in their pants. Back during the days of the Hippies there would be men who would go to the protests and support the stupid commie shit just so they could get girls. Things haven't changed hahahaah

Why is every news site still using click-baity "what do you think?" type headlines for this shit. Every respectable news organization in America should literally just have "PRESIDENT TRUMP ADMITS TO CAMPAIGN COLLUDING WITH RUSSIA TO WIN ELECTION" in all caps as their main headline, and should leave it there for a week.
If it pisses you guys off, then I hope he keeps on changing it.

same thing they did to Milo before Trumps election

>In a statement, YouTube said Jones had violated its terms of service and community guidelines. “When users violate these policies repeatedly, like our policies against hate speech and harassment or our terms prohibiting circumvention of our enforcement measures, we terminate their accounts.”
>Jones told the Washington Post that the termination of his accounts across multiple platforms today was “a counter-strike against the global awakening.” “You’re on the wrong side of history mainstream media,” he said. “You sold the country out, and now you’re going to pay for it.
>muh transplants NC is only becoming 0.2% less white each year compared to the US at 0.3%. And there aren't an infinite amount of California and NY white cucks moving to every red state each year.
