It's not just the West that's collapsing. Everything is collapsing. The culture of spending beyond our means (not just as individual people, but our national deficits) means you need an ever increasing number of citizens to service that debt. It is ultimately unsustainable. And this kills the keystone of Western capitalism: "sustainable growth of the market."

I realised something the other day. The vast majority of content on Instagram is AI controlled. Sure, a human made the original picture, but the way it is shared and the way that the majority of profiles are controlled by bots it made me realise we aren't in control of Instagram - it actually farms us like cattle. Shows us what we want to see in a never ending conveyor belt of soulless images and pithy memes. We don't control it, it controls us.

I use Instagram because I enjoy photography. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to follow some users who were dedicated to camping. The next day, I had dozens of new followers - many with recycled photos shared between various profiles. I thought nothing of it, so out of kindness I decided to follkw them back.
Once again, I soon gained dozens of new followers - and the pattern continued to repeat. I would follow them back, and then gain new followers. I then noticed many of the followers IDs were very similar - eg MrNature12, MountainMan13, MrNature12_a, etc etc.
It's one big con where bots are used to find new followers, and the cycle eats into itself.
Yes, I believe both are a problem. Just because everybody wants to purge the entire left, doesn't mean there are those on the right that won't see the rope.
