"MAKE BIG WEBSITES PUBLIC UTILITIES!" - Styx

I think he's right, make the major websites like the water and electric companies as they're an essential part of infrastructure for society now. Right now google / youtube / fb and etc are entwined with the government and thus should be subject to the first amendment.

Screencap this,

A browser plug in/ mobile app that lets you have free speech on the entire internet, you can COMMENT Everything

Newyork time’s banned the comment section? No problem because you click on this browser extension / mobile app and it creates a thread right away that lets you use your god given free speech right where ever you want.

There would be also a website that hosts all vor these differently created threads with options to get notified with certain topics and e.c.t

Give Hungary the kudos for this invention you fuckface person who will steal this

The 'government regulations' of the phone companies are just fine, there's no reason why it should be different for these websites.
This is the equivilent of your phone company telling you what words you can use on the phone.

What's it called? does it exist yet?

The Communications Act of 1934 already covers the Social Media platforms. They are being allowed to operate outside of jurisdiction by simply not having the FCC categorize them correctly. No new laws or regulations are needed, just enforcing the current ones would do just fine.
"SEC. 2. [47 U.S.C. 152] APPLICATION OF ACT.
(a) The provisions of this act shall apply to all interstate and foreign communication by wire
or radio and all interstate and foreign transmission of energy by radio, which originates and/or is received within the United States"

Didn't that get changed a few years ago with the 'net neutrality' thing? And then that got repealed so now there's nothing applying?
The telecommunications act 1994 used to apply to the internet before Obama made 'net neutrality'.

It doesn’t you dumbass, I just gave you a billion dolllar idea that would kill the Jews because of free speech exist everywhere they won’t exist nowhere

>hand over jewish owned companies to the jewish owned government
good idea

Based Hungary.

You do realize there are like only 10 websites that receive 95%+ of all internet traffic?

Yes, which is exactly why they should be made utilities where they're covered by the constitution because they are so interlinked already.

It isn't 'handing over companies', listen to the video, the companies aren't getting nationalised they would be made like phone companies are so the 1st amendment would apply to them. These websites are already branches of the government by proxy too which is why they're being used to silence dissent. The government is using these tech giants as a loophole around the constitution.

Aren't Facebook and Twitter tanking right now?

>Didn't that get changed a few years ago with the 'net neutrality' thing?
That was being applied to ISPs only, they did not touch communications services like Twatter and Facebook. The 1934 is is very plainly worded and it clearly says that Social Media operations fall under it's jurisdiction. The issue is that the FCC gets to pick and choose who they apply this Act (aka Law) to. Trump could order the FCC to stop paying favorites and uniformly enforce the law right now, but that is not happening.

Why do they get to pick and choose for so long?

>socialize the social media platforms!
>seize the means of communication!
Party of small government, folks.

>antediluvian tards in office
>technology changes at a rapid pace

>Why do unelected bureaucrats get to thumb their nose at the Constitution and abuse our Republic?
Corruption

No thanks I don't want to hear from Lolbertatarians like Styxshekelhammer.

fuck these people, "essential part of infrastructure" hahaha fucking youtube and facebook? stop supporting this trash

>Kills net neutrality so that ISPs are not regulated as a utility.
>Wants government to regulate websites like a utility.

Kek. The absolute state of conservatives in America.

STyx isn't a conservative

No, but there are a lot of conservative posters who think its a good idea.

Are you expecting Congress to do work?

libertarians don't want the government getting involved and making websites public utilities you retard. That's what Obama did; and this satanic retard needs to repent

>net neutrality
>regulating websites
one of these things is not like the other

>Government uses big tech to silence speech they don't like
>Sheeple pretend facebook / google / youtube / etc aren't intertwined with every aspect of life

Is it just a coincidence that infowars gets booted from apple, twitter, youtube, spotify at the exact same time?

>a lot of conservative posters who think expanding gubment is a great idea
I know, it's sad. I had this same discussion on Breitbart with some blockheads who think we need more laws to fix the Tech Left censorship issue. The reality is that there are already plenty of laws and enforcement agencies in place (Communications Act of 1934, FCC) to deal with this issue, they are simply not being enforced correctly.

Hopefully soon racist RETARDS get their water and electricity cut off! You disgusting fucks don’t deserve it

top tard. these kinds of things have been around since the 90s but no one uses them so no one cares.

FUCK OFF YOU ALT-LEFT COMMIE NIGGER
This is a shill thread. Trump in his infinite wisdom used his turd nigger lackey Ajit Pai to make sure the Internet was free by removing Net Neutrality.
ISPs cannot be classified as utilities so websites cannot be either.
If you do not support a website's freedom to censor whatever it wants, YOU DO NOT SUPPORT TRUMP!

No, just shut them down. That's all that has to happen.

I see your point, but that's an old way of thinking. Google and Amazon alone have too much power over us now. There has to be some checks and balances.

i think the government benefits greatly by outsourcing their spying and propaganda to private entities with little oversight, and you can't just ignore the tech giants, they are practically market immune

Sarah Silverman was right, you people should have listened.
