There exists no incentive in the news industry for honest information distribution, but rather everything becomes clickbait and everything plays to the lowest human instincts. That's why there is such a massive rift of viewpoint and presentation between Fox News and MSNBC/CNN. Both overdo it in their respective way in order to gain more attention from its followers, losing an objective, nuanced and journalistically honest perspective on the news information at hand.
