For me it was the issue of my metal frames getting so bent out of shape half the time. One pair i had snapped in high school by the bridge of the nose. Got my shop teacher to do a weld back together but they broke in the same spot a few months later.

I dont go hipster big or crazy sized lenses but I prefer plastic frames because they generally stay in the shape they're supposed to and all you need is a bit of gorilla glue and they're fixed

my last ones cost 200 and they were made in KOREA for christs sake.
