Am I witnessing the economic bump? There was no road bump construction here for the past 6 gorgillion years until Trump became President. Anyone else experiencing this?

Habbening everywhere I drive north of Boston.
In my California city they are just putting asphalt over old roads in a really shitty way then will probably take 2-3 years to paint the road markings and put up reflectors. So when you drive at night you'll have no idea what lane you are in. I think this is intentional though, makes the immigrants feel like they are back home in Mumbai or San Salvador.
Can confirm. Everywhere I drive I see new stuff being built. Buildings too. A bunch of middle class gated communities are popping up too.

They don't even level the roads that well after putting down the asphalt, it's all bumpy and shit still. Don't remember exactly but they put up some sign near by basically saying some shit like TAX DOLLARS AT WORK REBUILDING AMERICA or something. Although I'm fairly certain this isn't a Trump thing, looks like local or state funding because of how shit it is. Haven't seen any federal stuff going on but who knows, they give grants.

Nah for many years I don't recall seeing any sort of road construction unless it was done to restrict a road to make it more (((walkable))) or putting in a bike lane. Both of which are dumb because riding a bike on those streets is suicide or asking to get robbed. No one walks them because it's hot as fuck in spring/summer, they are in inconvienent locations, and there is nothing interesting to walk to except Beaner Tacoria #457. Looks very hipster though so you have somewhat pleasant scenery as you sit in traffic an extra 20 minutes because they cut out an entire lane.
I've noticed construction in every little podunk town I drive through, haven't seen this activity level in over a decade. Long-empty stores getting fresh paint, broken utilities and shit getting put back together, etc

I parked on the edge of town in the middle of bumfuck nowhere to finish a job, and right there was a sign for a project signed and funded by the man himself. I felt a weird gestalt, like this shit is real and not just something you read about

Besides Toll roads etc Highways are largely a government project.
Theirs also the fact that some areas have had an uptick in revenue and have decided to spend on roads.
