One of the problems with showering often is it washes away your natural pheromone scent, which you don't usually notice, but serves to attract compatible partners of the opposite sex. Look at Adeloye and Odeku (1967) who found that African patients had significantly larger and less calcified pineal glands than white patients, to the extent that it's not clear that the white patients had functioning pineal glands at all. i won't get into the occult significance of the pineal gland but that should be easy to find information about as well.
