Why do you think it's benefits and not just their retirement savings?
Carter Sullivan
What's on the x axis?
Luis Myers
And yet you still advocate for socialist policies.
Nathan Garcia
I am so tired of this leftist attitude being propagated by people that are supposed to be my allies.
James Martin
This is government taxes and benefits Relative values
Angel Rodriguez
Aren't the relative values on the y though? 1.0 being the average labor income for ages 30-49? See, this is how you can tell science is in decline when even Dr. Lee from Berkeley can't be assed to follow the simple and basic rule of LABELING YOUR FUCKING AXES.
Connor Cooper
>boomers >savings
haha
Oliver Ross
what the fuck do ninety year olds even buy besides food
Parker Bell
Why do I get the feeling this Twitterfag is reading the charts wrong.
Tyler Cox
In the prime of my life at 25. To ensure I don't pay taxes or feed social security I work for cash doing handyman work (installing floors, insulation, drywall) and sell marijuana on the side. Why pay into a failed pension plan? Made over 100k (untaxed) last year with 40% of that from green, eat shit staties.
>undercuts the price and then the dominoes begin to fall. this is why i am waiting a few years before i look into buying a house. these greedy kike boomers all want 3-5x what they initially paid for their houses but they'll get desperate and when they do it all will come tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling dooooowwwwwnn
Jayden Bennett
don't forget the tax burden of the niggers
keep paying your taxes, white men
>la'dariaus needs to lease new rims for his caddie while living in section ape housing >laqueefuh is due to shit out a 4th bastard child and needs the extra money to afford a gucci bag and to get her nails did

Health care (the pink area on the graph).
Health care is like 1/3 of our GDP, and end of life care is about 80% of medical expenses.
Brody Peterson
this is a side effect of exponential medical costs

They lived through a more prosperous era of post ww2 where there were more oportunities and labor had more cloud. The solution is not to blame them, its to fix the failing system.
See it is the normal arc of capitalism, at the start everything works great, but it needs a reset, and resets can be messy. Better to use a sustainable system :^)
David Carter
>Better to use a sustainable system :^) agreed. deregulate the markets and end socialist policies including medicare, medicaid, and general welfare. socialist policies got us into this mess in the first place.
Aiden James
The graph shows "public health" (the socialist part) has ballooned.
Brandon Jackson
>end socialist policies including medicare, medicaid, and general welfare also social security
Nicholas Ramirez
Literally had a boomer admit everything is fucked up, nothing is the same as when they were young and yet he still told me stupid millennial should adapt and its all our fault lmao
Jacob Clark
the mess is a result of capitalism functioning normally. See those elevated prices? Those 90 year olds are not buying so many things, as already pointed out they get food and healthcare. Why is their healthcare so expensive? Is it because they require massive efforts of teams of experts around the clock to extend their lives? No. Its because they have that amount of money, thats all they really have to spend it on, and so the medical costs match the available cost they are willing to spend. The system is extract all the money back from the 90 year old. Just working as expected. Just hope you dont need some of those drugs or treatments before you have amassed wealth first :^)
Sebastian Price
Its fine. I am going to inherit a fortune from those rich boomers. As will we all.
Unless you are a LOSER.
Isaiah Collins
Healthcare prices in the US on a drug to drug, procedure to procedure, comparison are twice or more what they are in other parts of the world.
They are this high because under capitalism things cost what people are willing to pay for them, and what they cost to produce has no real importance unless what people are willing to pay starts getting close to what it costs to make it. But previous decades prosperity has assured everything can cost many times more than what it would need to stay sustainable, and so the people of today suffer because those who came before them were so prosperous.
Jacob Gonzalez
They paid into it their entire lives being told it was to provide for their retirement. Its not fair to just screw the workers who depend on that.
Ryder Johnson
LOL when boomers retire that's when they start spending the big bux and living large. I know of people whose parents had 10m+ in assets and spent it all into their 90s haha
Ur lucky if anythings left for you
Jackson Perez
>No. Its because they have that amount of money, thats all they really have to spend it on, and so the medical costs match the available cost they are willing to spend. you're intentionally disregarding the data that indicate that the socialist policies are causing these extreme monetary burdens on the system. medicare, medicaid, and social security are all huge burdens which are set to collapse before the current generation of millenials/zoomers will ever see benefits
Daniel Lopez
>Its not fair to just screw the workers who depend on that. blame the politicians and legislators that instituted a system that was designed to fail.
Cooper Lopez
are you forgetting what ACA and government regulation of insurers (e.g. disallowing competition over state lines) have done to the cost of insurance and healthcare in the past decade? of course you are
feel free to provide data on the success of socialist programs in the US
Jaxson Peterson
>medicare, medicaid, and social security are all huge burdens BECAUSE MEDICAL PRICES ARE HIGH
Do you have any idea how big the medical lobby is? Did you know medicare was, for a long time, unable to negotiate prices on its own because it would be 'anti competitive' to have such a huge entity step up to the bargaining table? This alone confirms things like single payer would lower prices
Look at what happened recently with veterinary medicine. "Pet insurance" became a thing and in the last 10 years the cost of veterinary procedures skyrocketed. Was that socialism too?
Dominic Scott
It failed because regan started borrowing out of it to prop up the even then failing capitalism when it was initially set up to be an enclosed system for retirement, a sort of forced savings account.
Julian Adams
Look at the graph, it clearly says public health. The high prices come from government enforced monopolies (patents, doctor certification). They've got the biggest lobby. Patients rarely see the actual cost so there is little competition.
When people say capitalist they are usually referring to a competitive market, which we don't have.
Ryan Young
you're successfully arguing against yourself as you are giving examples of how government regulation and programs are wrecking everything they touch. can't tell if you're attempting to ironically troll me or if you're really that dumb.
Easton Perez
>When people say capitalist they are usually referring to a competitive market, which we don't have. this
Gabriel Parker
>boomers >savings
Mason Gomez
In consumerist and individualist america, boomers spend their retirement money on themselves (even though they will die soon)
It's fucking retarded.
Kayden Garcia
>ACA Was a scam designed by the insurance companies and medical industry to get even richer, it set up a manufactured increase in prices and then assured government funding would be channeled to insurance companies. That last part was stopped by congres at the last minute and so all it did was increase prices and with no government bailout they just raised insurance costs.
ACA did everything but the one thing that would actually have helped the problem, which is regulate prices.
Dont fucking use corporatist democrat liberals as an example of socialism.
Colton Howard
the reason why SS is failing is due to the fact that it has to rely on the next generation being larger than the previous one. since population is stagnant it is causing SS to fall apart. why do you think they wan't to import people? it's because "who's gunna pay for muh housing and meds?" why do you think they hate illegals but at the same time are complete civic cucks? because they don't pay into the system
Julian Reyes
>The generation that sold everything they inherited, blew it all, and expect the next generations to take care of them >saving
You do know we hate them for a reason, right?
Cameron Wilson
>socialism is when the government does stuff A government can screw you over regardless of what system its using. You cant just say 'this is a bad idea because the government can screw it up' or there are no good ideas.
Lucas Bell
>Was a scam designed by the insurance companies and medical industry to get even richer, it set up a manufactured increase in prices and then assured government funding would be channeled to insurance companies. >That last part was stopped by congres at the last minute and so all it did was increase prices and with no government bailout they just raised insurance costs. a government-instituted scam that would not have happened had we a deregulated competitive market.
thanks for arguing my point again
>socialism is when the government does stuff in order to redistribute wealth. everyone must have insurance and what happened was middle-class families had to pay vastly increasing premiums while others got "free" healthcare.
thanks for arguing my point again.
Cooper Robinson
>When people say capitalist they are usually referring to a competitive market, which we don't have.
Capitalism is never a competitive market past its starting phases. Once people get ahead thats it, the ones with the early start become the government and prevent any other competition. It is a normal predictable part capitalism and the main reason capitalism is retarded. Whats worse early successes and prosperity result in people developing a cult mentality worshiping it not realizing its the problem.
Its a drug that makes you feel good then kills you, all the while you lay there dying you say if only you had more of it you would be ok.

and so it begins. the pro socialism spam is ramping up. 2020 election slogan may as well be GIB ME DAT
Robert Fisher
>don't forget the tax burden of the niggers >keep paying your taxes, white men
Don't forget to pay for women, white man. Don't forget that women vote liberal, white man.
You tolerate the rising medical prices so that healthcare becomes synonymous with insurance and paying out of pocket is no longer even feasible and then when the same people at the top come up with a scam to make even more you blame the poor.
Socialism is not ACA, its shooting the executives.
Connor Garcia
>regan was a socialist now
Colton Ortiz
90 year olds wouldn't be boomers though, they would be part of the Greatest Generation or whatever.
Ethan Johnson
>and sell marijuana on the side.
Sell the vape pen cartridges man, way less risk than selling straight weed and way more profit. Plus way less work, you don't have to weigh or bag them.
Angel Martin
>You tolerate the rising medical prices so that healthcare becomes synonymous with insurance and paying out of pocket is no longer even feasible and then when the same people at the top come up with a scam to make even more you blame the poor. none of this would be an issue if we had a deregulated competitive market for healthcare
Connor Taylor
>Retires yeah fucking right
Matthew Price
If you take a simplistic "capitalist vs socialist" approach we're just gonna go around in circles. Ideally in this situation we would see de-regulation and trust busting.
Can we agree that the medical lobby is a problem?
Hudson Jones
>Can we agree that the medical lobby is a problem? yes. and how does the medical lobby exert its power? government regulation that disallows a competitive market? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Brayden Anderson
>blaming your parents' generation for you being unsuccessful Wew lad
Sebastian Roberts
The Day of the Reverse Mortgage will have to happen at this point.
Parker Brown
>medical lobby is a problem Of course, all lobbies are a problem as they are a way the rich oppress the worker by corrupting politics with money.
Asher White
How fucking selfish are you cunts? >REEEE WE SHOULDN'T TAKE CARE OF OUR ELDERS >REEEE GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY INSTEAD You're petulant children. This is why we refuse to turn our businesses and fortunes over to you
Hudson Roberts
>REEEE WE SHOULDN'T TAKE CARE OF OUR ELDERS >REEEE GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY INSTEAD strawman. not an argument.
Tyler Ward
>paying taxes that's what you're doing wrong
Nolan Morales
>being blamed for a problem entirely of someone else's making >t. eternal boomer Hurry up and die faster of obesity and lung cancer, please
Chase Wood
It exerts its power with money. The government officials who are then dependant on this money do things to favor the people who gave it to them, so they continue obtaining it. Are you aware of how lobbying and funding work?
Congresspeople must pay their party dues to assure good committee positions. They use these positions. Where do they get the money? How are they outdoing each other to bid for the best positions on the best committees? Funding, they get funding from corporations, lobbyists. In return for passing favorable laws for these corporations and special interest groups they get money which they use to further their own career.
Now what is the problem here? The problem is that money, which instead of being paid to the workers, is being used to corrupt government by the elites.
There would be no lobbying if all profits went to the proletariat :^)
Brandon Stewart
Okay then. What's strange is people seem to be unaware it's the biggest lobby or at least equivalent to defense. Not sure of actual sizes but people always seem to ignore this fact.
Strawman because you little queers are literally complaining we're spending too much on boomers.
Right. Good post user. Keep it up
Matthew Murphy
You're ignoring the second item on the list: insurance.
The health insurance industry is a money-printing machine that exists solely because of arcane regulations governing practitioner liability, price controls on insurance premiums (obamacare) and FDA approval requirements.
The insurance industry will fight tooth and nail to stop its artifical supply base from being wiped out.
Jonathan Allen
I consider it all as part of the medical lobby. Pharma, insurance, hospitals, health professionals, health services.
>socialist policies are causing these extreme monetary burdens on the system
So how come healthcare costs are hugely lower in socialist European countries with single-payer?
>Its fine. I am going to inherit a fortune from those rich boomers. As will we all. But that's not the case. Medicine has advanced so far that we can keep these decrepit geriatrics alive well into their 90s, even though their bodies and brains have failed. By the time they actually fuck off into the afterlife, you will be in your 70s yourself and too old to enjoy the money
Elijah Stewart

Boomers are pieces of shit. Boomers had, I believe the greatest time to be around. They had the easiest life in human history. Then they fucked it up with the bottomless pit of greed.
