I make $900 a month because it was the only job I even got an interview for. How do I escape rent slavery?

Kys urban scum

The best time to look for a better job is when you have one. Dont ever stop looking at want ads. The perfect job won't wait until you dont have one.

$900 before or after taxes and expenses?

Lol fag I get $900 a month working 1 hour a day, 5 days a week.

I take trash(bagged only) from apartments and put it into a trash compactor thats on site.

I am basically a neet.

After taxes and before expenses. I make around $1000 before taxes

So you're a garbageman?

Yep! $45 an hour! 20 hours, A MONTH!

The free time lets me day trade options and learn stuff and shitpost to my hearts content.

Does the day trading earn good profits ?

i make $10,000 a month a get every other friday off

I'm getting better at it, I suggest everyone learn how to trade options. The profits are incredible once you make the right choices. Seeing 100% gains daily due to the nature of options. I haven't put much money into it yet, still learning but with my small investment I'm doing fantastic. Many stocks only have a $5 premium, you can basically get 10 wrong and still have good profits with getting just 1 right. Obviously you should be doing better than 9% accuracy.

Find a roommate and split the rent of a nicer place.
>Also making $900 a month in 2018.
Kids that make $900 a month live with their parents. Lol I made more in high school after school.

You’re a fucking loser get a second mcjob

See

Boomer parents have said they'll charge me rent to live in their basement past 18

.t slave

People who blame boomers are losers. Get over yourself and do something different.

go be a machinist, make 4k a month easy

CNC machining is basically ideal for 99% of the users of Jow Forums

What state do you live in?

Cali

Stop being a worthless human who brings nothing more than a heartbeat to the labor market.

Get a roommate

Put down that soi latte and smashed avo and start consuming good ol' burgers and fries in mom n' pop shops.

It will improve grip strength and visual acuity to deliver on those needed firm hand shakes and looks in the eye.

Good. You fucking loser.

Be a bounty hunter for plastic straw users

live in your moms basement like i do. rent free and she brings me tendies sometimes.

>t. english teacher weeb who hasn't broken the gaijin bubble and has to come to Jow Forums to interact with humans

waitu piggu go home

How much is a good initial investment? Looking to do something so I dont just have 40k in my savings like a drug lord.

900 a month, your better off looking for a room to rent.

Depends on how much you want to make

Literally $20 if you are talented

based aussie

I got 3 jobs (1 seasonal) within half a week in less than 10 miles from where I live that I had no experience for. I work 4PM - 10PM at one place 7 nights/week, then 11PM - 7AM Mon/Wed/Fri at the second place and Tues/Thurs/Sat at the third.
You either live in buttfuck nowhere or aren’t considering everywhere that has a help wanted sign. If you’ve got to do hard labor or bitch work, do it, or it’s your own fault you have no money.

Cool. Sounds like something fun to look into. Any other advice for me to learn more?

You're in Cali. Try talking some welfare specialist and tell us how that goes.

>How do I escape rent slavery?

work harder.

I make more than $900 from my VA disability and my wife makes a hefty six figures.

So fuck you

My apartment complex forces me to pay $25 a month to have you guys walk 100 feet so I don’t have to. Thank you valet gsrbageman, shit pay for shit work.

Not an English teacher and no interest in going local. I'm a DOD civilian who works 8 hours a day including an hour+ for the gym and another hour for lunch. Today I left the office early because I felt like it.

Don't be mad because You and OP are losers living shitty and unfulfilling lives.

>$2800 a month
>Still living at home because theres literally no reason to move out other than impressing brainlet normslaves by telling them I live alone

Oh so you take home $6,500/month after taxes and pay $2000 on rent/mortgage

Truly I've got to say it's personality driven. You should be a particular kind of autist.

Investopedia, youtube, discord servers for pump and dumpers...

Get good scanners and other related software, do proper FA and read all the SEC filings, then relate that to TA, yada yada yada

Robinhood lets you make trades for free, but you'll need actual software outside of Robinhood.

Where do you live? Everywhere in my state requires 4 years of experience for entry level

I fought forest fires for years. I've worked different trades. Valet garbage is the best job ever.

Yeah, I bet. Stop parking your pickup trucks in front of empty spots in the parking lot please.

Sorry

>only works 6 hours a day
>left early cause I felt like it
you are unemployed by japanese standards.
>DOD good goy, remember to support israel
>losers living shitty and unfulfilling lives.
what is projection

anything else?

>works for the government
>tells anyone to work harder

I'm salaried bud, and I don't give a fuck about jap "employment standards".

Where's the projection? I've got a cool job that pays well and I enjoy. What do you do? Collect Trudeau neetbux?

JUST outside of Chicago.
Not far enough to leave the county and avoid tax rape.

Realistically you'll need at least $1,800 a month to survive and live in a place that isn't a roach infested shithole. I've been there man, work your way up, it's not a meme.

Oof

I live in Kentucky

It's great here

Get fired from your job, grow weed while collecting unemployment

>How do I escape rent slavery?

I did the math on this and you have to search craigslist or somewhere where people are looking for a roommate, and basically share the cheapest 2BR apartment
in my city studios and even 1BR apartments bordering the ghetto are $860/month
but there are 2BR apartments for like $1250-ish
the only problem is finding someone you know, or taking a huge risk with randoms
sometimes I wonder if I should've just moved to a trailer park off the highway and 35 minutes out of town
rent would be cheaper at least I'd be around poor white people instead of hostile nogs

you really should have

trailer parks are so fun I don't live in one but damn it's a great time

I love Kentucky. I stayed in madisonville for a while and met some great folks from Nebo. They took me in like I was family and was one of the best experiences of my life.
I wish I could contact them again.

>I'm the only one with a job in the world
>my life all alone on a base in a country full of people who hate me who speak a language I don't understand is satisfying because I can support our (((greatest ally)))

you don't sound very happy

I’m an air traffic controller (federal government) and I worked my ass off to get here. I play 3D chess for 8 hours a day 6 day’s a week and if I make a wrong move I risk getting piss tested and leave without pay and/or risk injuring people. I have hundreds of square miles of airspace memorized including dozens of approach plates along with a very specific vocabulary that I have to use concisely to avoid any hint of possibility of confusion.

I don’t know what that guy does but as s government employee I’m telling you to work harder.

Northerners don't comprehend the true goodness of whites, in Kentucky we still have culture.

Is it really that hard to be an air traffic controller?

The entry test isn't very hard...

Lol you really have no idea.

Lots of people have jobs, lots of those people are worthless and easily replaceable. Lots of them make $900 a month and live with their parents.

>don't sound happy

Now look who's projecting. Have you ever even left Canada? Or are you a Chinese immigrant?

There is a desperate need for air traffic controllers, so they're willing to give you a shot, but it's very hard. You need god tier attentiveness and allocation skills.

sell cocaine

....its hard to pay attention? Don't you have a headset and a screen telling you whats happening and when?

I do 2 hours of real work per 8 hour shift, spend the rest of the time playing games on my phone, and when I am working I only control 1 or 2 aircraft at a time.

Oh and I get paid more than you too, because I do ATC for private contractors, and not for the FAA like a fucking retarded serf that wants to be abused.

t. overseas atc contractor

1) Post a selfie with bag on head for privacy, with timestamp.

2) Greentext your resume.

Do those two things, and Jow Forums will sort your shit out in the most redpilled way.

Don't and you're a slide thread.

You ever tried actually being useful? I grew up poor in a town of 3 thousand people and never worked minimum wage. I worked hard and developed my skills.

Work ethic, communication, team building, the ability to get along with people you secretly don't like, mindfulness, research, forethought.

People are tripping over themselves trying to promote me because I made myself available and useful, it's not an impossible thing to accomplish

what you do user?

Slide Jow Forums for 5 cents a post, obviously.

That's just what I was told by an air traffic controller. He detailed why it was so hard, but it was a couple years ago, so I don't really remember. Something about managing dozens of planes at the same time carrying hundreds of people, where one mistake could mean a midair collision. He said it's a high stress job and is a young man's game.

you are clearly upset, the anger is manifesting itself in your inability to refrain from spazzing out.
>literally working in a foreign country
>haha u must be immigrant lmao
>Now look who's projecting
it's obvious something in your life has gone wrong and you are feeling the consequences. keep screaming at people that you're not miserable, I'm sure they'll believe you someday
>military contractors are indispensable, I can never be replaced
lmao

Attached: 1527887388828.jpg (500x619, 35K)

Yes, it’s objectively one of the most difficult and stressful jobs in existence. The pass rate at the academy is less than 50% and the people who make it there usually have a background in aviation or went to school for ATC.

The ATSAT/ATSA is basically the minimum requirement to move forward in the process, it tests for basic understanding of the English language and makes sure you can remember what you did with an object 15 seconds ago. Aside from all the hoops you have to jump through (medical exam, psych Eval, drug test, etc), you get sent to the academy where you have about 30 days to work level 8 traffic at level 5 complexity.

Every day I get paid a lot of money to make judgement calls based on the specific scenario I’m faced with and I have to follow a rule book thicker than a dictionary, in addition to my specific facility’s local rules. I’ve seen a lot of people come through my facility with the attitude of “I’m smart enough to do this job, this is going to be easy for me” only to be humbled when they have their first busy session and they go down the tubes. It’s a hard job and only a small portion of the population is suited to do it.

>overseas contractor
Oh so you pretend to know how to work traffic, cool man, good for you!

...

you only pay 10% taxes? you are the scum of the earth

Also, if you are for real, don't let the shills get you down. We're all fuckups here, user. It's OK.

Attached: bear.png (1200x630, 1.33M)

are you able to describe a stressful scenario for me please? beyond just "its a lot of fucking planes"

genuinely interested, thanks

I make $4600 a fortnight after tax. With 2 days off a week.

How do people get by on a 2 week holiday per year? I'm 26 & fucking hate working just to get 2 weeks a year off to travel. Sucks fucking balls.

4 years of experience for fucking what? go do construction and do bitch work,
go log.
join the military.
save same cash or save some money and go work on an oildrig
jesus theres so many options

1) not a contractor. DOD civilian. I'm a .gov employee.

2) only person spazzing out is you, and you're still projecting.

3) you keep responding and I keep laughing at you.

>NO! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS MAD! I AM HAVING FUN! CAN'T YOU SEE ME HAVING FUN!!!????!!!??! HAHA YOU ARE RESPONDING NEVERMIND THAT I AM TOO, IM JUST HAVING FUN WITH YOU! TOTALLY NOT STEAMIG MAD RIGHT NOW I SWEAR! HAHA FUN
nice reddit spacing btw, thank you for your service zogbot

>join the military
I'm not physically fit enough to qualify for boot camp, I'm not shitting you

If you don’t know anything about flying or ATC then it would take me a long time to explain. I find tower to be more stressful than radar because radar gives you a lot of outs where tower can be the Wild West.

When you have planes in the tower pattern you constantly have planes flying opposite direction towards each other but offset by about a mile. You need to have the confidence that you planned the sequence well enough 5 minutes ago that even though it looks like they’re going to hit head on that they’re actually going to have the required separation, minimum separation if possible.

It’s much more nuanced than that, aka planes transitioning your airspace that you have to avoid hitting and making sure you aren’t busting wake turbulence rules and so on, but again, it’s really complicated. It’s taken me this long just to break it down into that simple example.

I make $1400 a month working 10 hours a week from home, stop being a dumb sack of shit and get a better job

not terribly bad, my dad is 2 steps below ceo for an airline hes explained a lot of this stuff to me before

this, im jealous of these fags they just sit around watching a robot cut shit all day
>t.aerospace technician
also, aerospace production/assembly pays good and doesnt require a degree

can you describe basically what you do or is it too simple to even need an description

It’s far cheaper to just buy a house. Get some of your loser friends to rent rooms from you and it almost pays for itself.

Or, you know, just keep paying rent to a landlord who hides cameras in your bedroom and jerks it to you live every night.

i basically align cut and attach teflon/kevlar frames to commercial windows, install bushings, hydrophobic coatings, seals on windows, etc
depends on what u do in aerospace assembly, some lucky fags do robot coating or cnc which is essentially 0 actual work, some do machining on windows, others do heat forming to acrylic sheets or make the actual sheets
>tldr basically different positions for each part of creating a window

Attached: BOOMER WAGES ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION 1.jpg (1967x1564, 339K)

oh and usually you get hired under an agency but once you get fully hired into the company your wage is bumped and you make real money (30-50+/hr depending on what u do)

One of the most stressful situations I could think of off the top of my head is having 5 beechjets in the tower pattern with 2 or more helicopters transitioning from opposite directions across your airspace through your pattern altitude during the middle of an arrival and departure push. Realistically you’d kick some of the beechjets out to radar for sequencing but no controller really ever wants to admit they’ve hit their limit. It’s stressful because you need to be in control of every airplane on your frequency and in the tower that could mean you’re responsible for 10 aircraft in a circle with a 5 mile radius (which is a very small amount of airspace). You need to have a plan for where each one of these people are going and you need to make your plan about 5 minutes before you need them to be where they need to be. Normally you create situations where you have as many as 5 alternate plans in case the first 4 go to shit but sometimes you’re dealt a hand where you only have 1 out so you better make plan A work correctly, and that is what’s stressful.

Sometimes people think working traffic is making a plan and crossing your finger hat it’s going to work but that’s basically a sin. If you created a situation that isn’t guaranteed to work out you’ve already fucked up, and you need to be able to make that plan instantaneously for every aircraft without getting distracted by what all of the other ones are doing, then you need to make it work and have the confidence it’s going to work. This isn’t a job for the faint of heart.

I clean Walmart bathrooms and pull down $1350 a month.

stop hating boomers because you suck at life.

You also have tons of niggers.

You can sometimes find single wides for $1k do the fix em up work yourself and your rent becomes 3-400 max. Literally my plan before this year is over.

Welfare, drug/weapon/human dealing, robbing/blackmailing boomer

So you're a NEET. Ok.

Basically none. They only exist in 1 corner of 2 different major cities. Don't go to the city.

That's not why you move out user.
