The point is that most women these days are not able to be mothers. They are conflicted beings, thorned between imperative biological istincts which tell them to procreate and build a family to care for and a society that raised them with the idea that they should only worry about their individualistic needs and pleasure.
Most women today can't cook, can't sew, can't knit or clean, can't organize or manage a shopping list of necessities; because they never really needed to learn those skills anymore.
In the past, both individuals brought something in the union: men brought protection and financial stability, women brought their homemaking skills they learned from their mothers and grandmas.
Nowadays we have a broken society filled with "individuals" who lost any moral compass about what their place in the world is: looking for freedom from "gender stereotypes" we lost ourselves to the uncertainty of total chaos.
By what I can see, females are the ones who struggle most in this newfound uncertainty simply because they are not made for it; we men simply adapt.
I can't really foresee where the decisions we made will bring us as a species but I'm not very optimistic about it.
