Peaked in the 70s.

No, its shit and will always be shit. God I wish I lived in a white country.

better? I dont know, it was just shit in different ways
early 30-50 were golden

No it wasn't, it was shit.

>USSR defeated
>cocaine
>wall st.
>allen greenspan & co juicing the economy now that we're off the gold standard
>no neocons in charge yet

By today's standards? Absolutely.

It was still a puppet of Israel though, making it shit by default.

No. USA has been rotten jew controlled tumor for most of the 20th century.

1980s
>it was more white,
>easy to get a job right out of highschool, to support a family on.
>customer service was a thing
>people collected baseball cards
>bunniesses cared
>crackjack had actually toys.
>cereal boxes had actually toys
>malls where booming
>malls housed events/shows
>computer shows where a thing
>arcade/mal scene was the place to be
>everyone hates fags still
>trucks were actual trucks and where cheaper
>everyone wasnt instant gratification
>you had to wait awhile for people to get back to you since no cell phones
>life was a slower pace

You can't really compare.

Attached: 1980's (204).jpg (1328x1105, 372K)

You don't really have a cell phone do you? That shit's cancer.

Also, except for business purposes, placing a long distance telephone call when it's not after hours is simply not done.

>You don't really have a cell phone do you?
my union requires everyone to have a cell phone
a lot of jobs now require cell phones

>life was a slower pace
because information traveled slower and there where fewer sources.

Attached: 1980's (211).jpg (1336x1123, 444K)

You tell me
youtube.com/watch?v=RYbe-35_BaA

It's for your job though, right? So you wouldn't use that for personal use or when you're not on the clock.

america was an amazing wonderland in the 80's. emerging tech made everything awesome. music, movies, games. all the cartoons had strong postitive role models to look up to and learn from. people went outside, were active. it was great.

which is a good thing
now people get upset if you don't reply to them within the hour
Lol

You still do, retard.

>but not for much longer at this rate

Early 30's like in the great depression peak?

the 80s defenty where peak civilization

Unironically yes. But the cracks were beginning to show.

Everything after '07 is when it shot straight downhill.

Attached: pepeblaze.jpg (500x500, 34K)

also, girls had bodies like this, and it was common. there were very faw fatties waddling around.

youtube.com/watch?v=ozoTzkCeO-A

USA peaked at the conclusion of the civil war. The future of the country was bright at that point. Jewish and consumerist lead revolt had been smacked by the union. Abe and the Republicans were planning on creating ethnostate. Peak USA. Then Abe was killed by (((them))) and they hijacked Republican Party to ruin the south with diversity

corporates and bankers killing themselves?
whats not awesome?

Ignorance is bliss huh?

Attached: 1980's (206).jpg (1320x1105, 230K)

The west began to fall after the vote for women, hippie movement and boomers. I only like the 80s and 90s because of nostalgia.

i'll argue everything went right to shit in the 90's. that's when they openly pushed nigger music on kids, when wiggers started showing up. they didn't exist before that. it's when stupid white girls started thinking it was cool to fuck niggers for social status or attention. it might not have been so apparent in smaller towns, but in big cities it was almost overnight. i'm an oldfag, i was alive to see it.

NY was a hellhole in the 1980s

True.
I kind of wish that i was a young adult in the 80s rather than a kid.
That way I would be almost dead by now.

Helll yeah. Porn was like the magazine you found in the woods or hoping you could get a glimpse of a boob on a scrambled channel or fanticizing about the underwear section in the catalog. If you were lucky you could wait about an hour to download a picture from dialup that wasn't even all that good and by then you already lost patience and whacked off to so the tampon instructions or whatever anyway.

Mystery and magic.

All you knew was what was told to you on the nightly news.

Attached: 1980's (202).jpg (1328x1105, 393K)

It was "better" in the sense that "better" is a relative term. It was still circling the shitter but it was slightly farther from the drain than we are currently

Or the newspaper.

That was the neat part about the early days of the internet tho was all of a sudden there was this little group of nerds from all over the world who could tell each other about things. I guess that's if you weren't enough of a nerd to be into HAM radio or something.

Attached: 13209443447.jpg (494x315, 118K)

The internet today is nothing like what it was in the early days. Though Jow Forums feels the most like early 2000's, probably because it hasn't changed much since then.

Attached: IMG_20170811_200410896.jpg (499x887, 67K)

which is a good thing
everyone today is angry over a bunch of shit that they cannot control or have any power over

>Peaked in the 70s.

This, but it was still awesome in the 80s (and Canada too). The main thing I miss about that era is the sense of unbounded confidence and optimism (and of never being expected to apologize for every fucking little thing)

My dad had those tinted/polarized glasses and a moustache as well. There's a picture of my family at Canada's Wonderland in 1982 and he looks like a pedo version of Borat

pfft you and your fancy 3.5"s
>tfw couldn't figure out how to get far enough at Leisure Suit Larry to need to use all the floppies

I'm such a failure with the ladies :(

The culture suddenly took a really dark turn (both racially and spiritually) right about 1990 as I recall

Was America worse in the 80s?

Attached: 1533159829763.jpg (724x540, 136K)

America as a whole perhaps but not in OP's picture (New York)

If it where like that today, Hillary would be president.

Attached: 1980's (214).jpg (1422x1099, 279K)

Oldfags like me reminisce all the time about how great things used to be, and for the most part they were better, but there have been some improvements. Technology and access to information and culture is light-years ahead of the 1980s. People can also eat much better now (though it's true the majority still shovel shit into their gobs just like thirty years ago). Air travel is cheaper in most countries (but not in Canada, of course)

If the US still had 1980's racial demographics, Obama would never have been elected President

>glasses and a moustache
That was cool back then

Attached: 1980's (191).jpg (1035x1410, 370K)

We would had had Romney.

Attached: Romney's own campaign.jpg (500x500, 218K)

That's my dad right there, except he had less hair. Nowadays if you saw someone like that you'd assume he was a homicidal drifter or with the CIA

boys were better with long hair

>We would had had Romney.

OK, that would have been pretty shit too, but still better than the Gay Mulatto

> muh depression

Overrated

Dustbowl, shitty wages. My grandparents eating nothing but corn flour for 4 years.

The 80's sucked, it looked good at first coming off of the 70's but real world events caught up with people.

You are so fucking stupid it hurts. Lincoln was never going to send blacks away. He stopped talking about it long before the civil war even began

It was less shitty in that all of the problems were lurking in the background still.

The reason why people fondly remember the 80s is because the rapid decline of Western society paused from about 1983 to 1989, for reasons I still haven't figured out

Canada was still white.

haha no they didn't. People were definitely more active though. Kids played outside more and road bikes w/o adult supervision.

t. almost 40-year-old boomer that lived through the 80s

Founded by paganist Freemasons larping as (((Christian))), calling it "The New World".

Oy, mein History ist scheisse.

>Hillary would be president.
the 80s were a man's world
no man would vote for a women to be president

A stale fart would have been better.
I do miss frizzy hair though
and girls where frizzy

Attached: 1980's (337).jpg (1318x1081, 329K)

Me too.

Way to pick the worst point in time to represent America. Fashion was horrible in the 80s. Go back to the 50s.

Frizzy hair was the worst.

But like they say there's no accounting for taste.

I'm talking about listening only to the big media, she was ordained by "the powers that be" to be president.

Attached: 1980's (253).jpg (1476x1111, 512K)

He did put up a fund for negroes wishing to leave the country on their own tho

>I do miss frizzy hair though

I miss femininity in women, period

The way technology has been used is a large part of the reason why everything sucks now. It destroyed normal human social interaction and replaced it with superficial, illusory, and vain social media. Not to mention the acceleration of whatever conspiracy du jour the elites cook up on a whim.
>It would be kewl to have a national internal network separated from the outside world.
USANET, a Space Force initiative.

Attached: pp.jpg (800x600, 67K)

This.

>Fashion was horrible in the 80s. Go back to the 50s.

To those nose-cone bras, and duck's-ass haircuts on men? No thanks

This is true. Gangsta rap like NWA existed in the late 80s but it was considered very controversial and never played on MTV or the radio. It really wasn't until Dr. Dre happened that it became mainstream with Snoop and 2Pac getting big after that.

The 80s blacks on MTV were basically wannabe whites like MJ, Prince, and Whitney Houston

America and most of the West was a fucking nightmare in the 70s and 80s.

>brb serial killers running around slaughtering randoms doing cartel gore-video shit in their apartments and houses and the police didn't know how to stop them
>brb nogs on crack cocaine on a holy war to bring about revolution through crime explosion with endless rape and murder
>brb catastrophic economic decline where the entire industrial and manufacturing base that had been developed for 100s of years was sold off and closed down within a few years turning entire cities into unemployed zombie apocalypses
>brb beginnings of mass immigration but without any assimilation or 2nd/3rd borns to actually interact with, just foreign hordes appearing out of nowhere taking over your hometown and cities and not understanding why or how and unable to communicate with them in anyway as they begin to form their own ethnic gangs to terrorise previously normal neighbourhoods
>baby boom turn 20s and 30s so gangs of unemployed angry young men roaming around everywhere with nothing to do looking for fights and people to kill, making it impossible to go anywhere on foot
>brb AIDs and STD explosion making any attempt at sex a potential death sentance
>brb leaded gasoline and industrial pollution in the air making people violent and crazy increasing mental illness and open displays of madness
>brb height of the cold war where the threat of a nuclear attack from the Soviets or Chinese seemed imminent and half the world was Communist and hated the West making WWIII seem a certainty
>despite all this, still no cable TV or internet or video games, lack of available cheap travel options, hardly any good porn apart from some tacky magazines, making movies, drugs (which apart from crack was expensive or hard to come by and meant having to go to hellish ghettos to get a fix making it not worth the risk) or alcohol as the only forms of escapism.

200-240 million population was more comfortable.

Early ancap licence plate on that car

Smartphones (specifically the iPhone) ruined everything.

lol

Reagan?

Nah, technology is a double-edged sword. It makes things better for sensible people and worse for idiots (though I admit that the latter are far more numerous). I've learned far more about how the world actually works from what I've read online over the past 10 years than I did in my first 30 years of existence. We really, really were living in a bubble of media-induced unreality back in the 80s for the most part, and it was very difficult to get access to alternative sources of information

The 80s was the worst era for style. People looked like animals. It's like all the hippies got jobs but refused to trim their hair. At least the 70s had a political issue so it had reason. Oh and ya i remember mullets. Let it go!

>America and most of the West was a fucking nightmare in the 70s and 80s.

You're only describing certain cities in America here, not the rest of the West at all. Canada was a hell of a lot safer in the 80s before it was "enriched" by diversity

I think it had potential to have substance but in the end it was just as stupid and fake as it was in the 70's, but no one would admit it. There was also this big elephant in the room, and no one would eve talk about it.

It's funny how Boomers now keep bitching about the Mad Max "collapse" when they fucking live through it themselves in the 70s and 80s. When we complain about a potential collapse in the future, we're actually just talking about the 70s and 80s happening all over again.

Attached: us_murder_rate.png (671x359, 8K)

>for reasons I still haven't figured out

we beat the CCCP. then had a few years of solitude, then plans to colonize the middle east followed by a socialist muslim and his crony globalist who had plans to give it back to them, for a price of course. now we have no idea what is going on.

we need another superpower to keep us in check

The only good thing about hair in the 80s were the small segment of people that actually looked good with long hair, big hair, and hair metal. Afros were pretty based, too.

Some dude in my town was rocking an almost oldskool afro for a while. Shit was so cash.

>Reagan?

Not sure. Was a Reagan a cause or an effect? But it's true that he sort of gave permission to Americans (and by extension other Westerners) to feel confident and self-assured again, and that huge economic expansion that resulted under his presidency made people happier as well. That's why the Left spent the entire decade railing that everyone had too much money and had become "yuppies" without any soul, and also bitching that Reagan was a "fascist" because he actually stood up to Moscow (they've certainly changed their tune under Trump)

those chairs always frayed and stuck in your ass

Everyday america gets worse. For and example: Today:
>Feral Niggers killing white people
>They created feminism
>Nignogs have a lot of gibs
>Debt gets worst everyday
>Inflation
>30 years ago was easier to buy a home, car and other stuff just having an average job. (Fucking boomers)
>No millennials (They suck because back in the 80's people poisoned them with cultural marxist ideas)
>Bonus: China wasn't economic and military powerful as today. While americans are using their minds to think about gender and other types of degeneracy, chinks are doing their jobs to be the most powerful country in the world and unfortunately they'll be.

>Oh and ya i remember mullets

Business in the front, party in the back

that's why metal chairs where better

Attached: 1980's (254).jpg (1494x1069, 543K)

>we beat the CCCP.

Not until after the 80s

America worsens year after year, so yes.

I highly doubt Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto were safer in the 70s and 80s than they are now that they're Disneyland-tier meme cities.

Attached: Canadas-homicide-rate-change-1024x717.png (1024x717, 204K)

I bet there's still hoser culture out in the more sparse parts of Canada. Hoser culture is so white it make me feel safe and happy.

This is really only places like NYC, Detroit, Chicago, etc. that had been going downhill since the 60s. Comfy middle American mid size cities like Denver, Austin, Minneapolis were never this bad.

I had a printout (from a dot-matrix daisy wheel printer that was loud af) of 70-something pages of BBSs in my state and the surrounding area. Had dedicated phone line and was constantly downloading shit.
>tl;dr It took more effort to get online which naturally precluded the normies from shitting the place up.

Great decade. I was born in 86, so I remember the last year and a half or two years of the 80s; 1990 and 1991 were more or less the same as the second half of the 80s. A good time to be a kid, but kind of a paranoid era: major concerns about crime, drugs, serial killers, and kidnapping even though the white suburbs were super safe, and in most places it was weird if you didn't go to church, and people being super-Christian wasn't weird the way that it is today.

Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska is a great album

Yes it was better but already in decline.

the folders rusted and begged to pinch your fingers

the green ones out back were 156 degrees waiting to sizzle you ass also

>I highly doubt Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto were safer in the 70s and 80s

They already had Jamaicans shooting up the place, but at least they didn't yet have innocent bystanders being killed by jihadists or in gang crossfires. Remember that national crime statistics are only an average and take many different things into account, including the known willingness of police forces to massage them for political purposes

Peaked in the 50s.
