Best way how to get into a country in some sort of turmoil is to cross the line from the neighboring state. Especially if you could larp concerned journalist, so you can take your softarmor or plate-carrier. Another American user in previous threads recommended to do this, so I'm currently in process of asking various embassies of neighboring countries to what gear I can take with me as a journalist and what possible special admits I will need.
So far, only one embassy replied and we have scheduled meeting, rest of them still did not replied (three days now). Suspect blacks being lazy, but we'll see.
