it's kinda sad though because her four kids are all obsessed with money. I see the sad look in her eyes. she made her own clothes from scratch for years, even her school uniforms, milked her own cow and built her own barn. her children buy and sell land and furniture like it's toys,leaving huge piles of garbage to rot in storage, they have absolutely no respect for "poverty lifestyle"
something as simply as building a herb garden, dad tells me I'm a fuckwit and buys me a new spice rack. they all refuse to repair anything, it has to be bought new every time. a new phone every year, new car, new tv. and working painful hours so they can brag and jerk to eachother's cash piles. my nan was never like that, and I see in her eyes the hope it gives when I ask her how to repair a button, or how to re-pot a plant. she loves it. I think women like her have lost their place in the modern world, these days they just turn to drugs or prostitution.
