Classic cars are redpilled

Classic cars are redpilled.
>many models are practically open source, can be built out of aftermarket parts
>no glow in the dark tracking devices
>can easily be worked on and modded by yourself
>environmentally unfriendly, repels soibois and envirofags
>classic car culture is implicitly white
Why don't you own one, Jow Forums?

I'm not a Boomer and I can't fund this.

If you know what to look for, you can get something decent in the $5k-$10k range. Lots of decent 80's stuff can be found for that price

Bump for interest.

I love AMC and interesting GM'S like Corvairs and I really want a retro-mod Ford Model A.

I seriously unironically want an AMC Pacer X

Attached: 2012-10-31-AMC-Pacer-02-(carwalls.blogspot.com).jpg (1024x768, 226K)

Nice trucks. Seriously, I'm impressed and not just because you sick sick.

How do I give gold on here fellow redditor?

>we can't have nice things because someone else likes them
Fag.
Nice pic
What sucks is that a lot of interesting cars are going to be forgotten because people don't give a shit about them. I hope 3d printing can cut down costs for bespoke or low-volume parts

Modern environmentalists, being co-opted and directed by the kikes, judge enviro-friendless of vehicles on a single metric: Gasoline consumption.
Don't be a puppet of the jew.
Consider the entire production chain.
The deuce coupe, albeit a render, was built in 1932.
The most environmentally destructive aspects of that car's manufacture took place 90 years ago.
And everything that's been done to it since is nothing compared to producing, say, a new Prius.

oh ya bud no arguments from me there. too bad it's all been replaced by jap crap and eurotrash

Attached: 1530657273391.jpg (1800x1080, 1.18M)

Fins!!!

AMC also gave us Eagle and I would love any good condition Eagle left.

4x4 cars are a lot more common now that they were in 1981. AMC was always so ahead of their time that it killed them

Attached: american-motors-eagle-1986-4.jpg (624x351, 51K)

Classic cars aren't dumb boomer shit.

Classic cars are red pilled because they are pure American engineering. Even when something was 'European inspired' it was 3x as big and usually had 5x the horsepower of the euro shit boxes.
And the history of brilliant designers and engineers like Henry Ford, Lee Iococca, John DeLorean, is inspiring.

Attached: 1200px-1963_Ford_Falcon_Sprint_Hardtop.JPG.jpg (1200x787, 286K)

Eastern European cars are the ultimate redpill. These are just cuckboxes for rich fucks.

Attached: Delaware riots 12.jpg (1920x1440, 532K)

71 Torino. Survivor condition, driver not a racer. Image for reference, not mine.

Attached: 1970-falcon.jpg (993x745, 87K)

Weren't eastern euro/commie cars nearly all shitty fiat clones? I mean the fiats were inspired.

Not gonna lie. I wouldn't turn my nose up at driving one though.

I would vassically take any AMC I could get my hands on at this point.

Attached: amc-javelin-1141.jpg (680x453, 67K)

these are awesome

I'm planning to throw a Tesla engine and battery into a model T style body in a few years, once battery prices die down. I just won't take it on freeways it doesn't need to go fast.

>easy to fix and mantain
>robust
>nothing superflous on them

That's what men drive.

A E S T H E T I C

Just bought a Lotus Europa, going to a show this weekend.

Square body Chevy trucks are in high demand at the moment. You'd be surprised what you can get for a couple the same vintage as pic related but in decent running shape.

-THANK YOU SIR.
THE FRONT IS LOWER NOW THAT WAS BEFORE I CHOPPED THE COILS FROM THE VIC, THIS THING (WITH 460) ONLY WEIIGS 2300LBS...

Somebody already did this with an old honda: youtube.com/watch?v=IOLzpBzUXZs
0-60 in 2.5 secs

Now I'm thinking maybe I WANT my Model T(esla) to go fast. Would be hilarious to zip around town and get tons of speeding tickets.

....
Chevrolet has produced vehicles in Canada and employed Canadian engineers for a great deal of its lifetime.

Not environmentally unfriendly.

Saved from a scrap yard.
Repurposed.

Think how much energy and resources are spent on creating a new car.

If people took care of their cars they'd be doing the environment a favor.

Also a well tuned engine even with points ignition, can be quite low in emissions. Plus they're rarely driven.

You get a gremlin then.

(Although those are pretty awesome once modernized.)

thinking about grabbing an old 924 or 944 as a weekend car, but if they keep skyrocketing in price I won't be able to save for a down payment on a house with enough property to park 3 vehicles, and I'm not the sort of nigger who parks on the side of the street

The stock Ford 460 was decent horsepower but a torque KING. These would pull like a mule. You could massage 800+ horsepower out of one with the right intake and racing heads combo when running on 100+ octane racing fuel. That was not even using forced induction yet.

It would be a good sleeper for fucking with ricer fags and richfags

American Classic car culture vs any other international classic car culture.

Go to any bumblefuck town in the US or Canada and there will be an annual Classic Car event with rows and rows of locally restored classic cars.

Go to a major event in Europe or Japan and its a bunch of trust fund kids bringing their brand new benz or infiniti alongside a modest amount of restorations.

>I'm not the sort of nigger who parks on the side of the street
Excellent, you're a true white man.

>a bunch of trust fund kids bringing their brand new benz or infiniti
JesusChristhowhorrifying.jpg

if thats yours

Only pre war cars are truly red pulled.

NAH, I FUCKING LOVE EM! PLUS WITH THE CROWN VIC SWAP I NEED THE DEEP OFFSET RIMS, THESE WERE CHEAP AND LOOK GREAT IN PERSON.

THESE NEVER CAME WITH 460CI BIG BLOCK, THIS ONE WAS MY GRANDPAS AND HAD A 300CI THUNDERBOLT I6 STOCK

Hope it's swapped for another 3.8 turbo, otherwise you're a massive faggot

>something I like is redpilled
I love classic cars as much as the next guy but come on, however the fact there's no CIA devices is based
Also
>tfw all the 1930s cars keep being turned into hot rods with ridiculous flames on them

1970-71 fastback Torino is my Favorite Ford that's not a Mustang, or GT40...

Also, my father has a 1971 fastback red with black hood, 351 Cleveland. It's fully restored.

Car culture can be kind of shit at times, with all the infighting over retarded shit (remember "hellaflush") but I got my start in the industry, and the implicit whiteness bit is particularly accurate. Particularly when dealing with German stuff. Great people for the most part.
As for the cars, I will always retain a couple of them. Lots of respect for the domestic guys, but euros are my thing. A well maintained, and modified M20 swapped 2002 (model, not year) is a beautiful thing to drive.

POL has people who are knowledgeable on cars. Good to see.

My Uncle has a Black 1969 Fastback Mustang with a 429 (521 cubic inches) stroker with Kaase BOSS heads. 700 horsepower N/A, street car, fuel injected.

>hellaflush
Explain pls

amc is the worst of all muscle cars

I wish I could buy a classic American car but fucking taxes... I hate the EU

Classic cars are unreliable, less comfortable, less safe, and more expensive to operate than modern cars.

Buying a classic car is like marrying your high school sweetheart after she comes back from 4 years in a sorority and another 4 years doing volunteer work in Africa. You both know you're not really a winner.

It's cars that are lowered so much their bumpers get knocked off when they enter the McDonalds parking lot.

But, it's not hella flush if the wheels don't have Xtreme negative camber. Makes the car handle like a dog turd.

Yeah I got my w126, v8, on stands now. Had to drop the entire manifold-back exhaust to change the starter lol. When the new one comes in I'm gonna be that ass hole with no exhaust for a day kek
330,000 miles

lol canada manufactures all of americas good cars today

It's called Hot Rodding, you change all of that.

Thus you are an idiot.

>less comfortable
I don't think so. Look at the old Cadillacs and their big seats.

>tfw classic cars have outlasted the city they came from

Attached: detoilet-ruins.jpg (485x273, 41K)

Gentlemen...

Behold what I have spent half my life building.

1955 Willys pickup truck. Chevy 327 V8 pulled from a wrecked '68 corvette. Dana 60s and a laundry list of other parts and modifications.

I sold it in March to fund my escape from Commiefornia. I couldn't take care of it anymore. So I found someone on the east coast who could.

Attached: image.jpg (960x642, 179K)

WAS AN ASE MASTER TECH FOR 6 YEARS, STILL GOT MY FORD PERFORMANCE II CERTS.

DUDE I HAVE TRIED STOCK DOG DISH, SMOOTHIES, STEEL (BLACK NASTRUCK 7 SPOKE), NOTHING LOOKED EVEN CLOSE AS GOOD AS THESE 18X7'S IM STILL LOOKING THO, CANT AFFORD THE BOGART RIMS I WANT YET...

Attached: bogart.jpg (283x277, 36K)

>no WARN winch
BLASPHEMY
>related to the family who builds the locking hubs and winches

Only if you build it yourself.

Jealous, 53-56 F100s were peak sexy

Because theyre fucking money pits. A man can blow a decent down payment for a house on some old piece of shit that gets driven a couple days a month.

Attached: Lamborghini.jpg (280x180, 10K)

I AINT GOT $20K TO SPEND ON ENGINE ALONE LOL MORE LIKE $5k
BUT THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A CAMMER AT 7K RPM

>classic car culture is implicitly white

Whatever you say gringo

THANK YOU SIR

IN ALL RESPECT "CLASSIC" AND "HOT ROD" ARE MOSTLY WHITE DUDES, "LOW RIDER" "CUSTOM" AND "SLAMMED" ARE MY BURRITO BROS. "DONK" AND "MONSTER BASS" ARE HOMIES. "HELLA FLUSH" "RICE" AND "EURO" ARE MOSTY ASIAN ROUND HERE IN BAY AREA CALI

The way i see it, if the car still has a throttle cable its ok. That's the last line in the sand.

Attached: mzct9w9hdt4utu9utvbo.jpg (760x755, 146K)

lol, I was gonna say. Ever been to a carshow in Texas or California?!

I know who you are you stupid fuck.

I 2ND THIS.

ALSO, IF YOU NEED AN ACTUAL COMPUTER TO REPAIR IT, NOT A MULTI METER AND A POWER POINT TESTER TO FIX IT, GET RID OF IT.

throttle by wire is the work of the devil

to a CLASSIC car event you numbskull.

They do it, its silly.

Knocks like the rent is due

5.0, THE ABSOLUTELY CHEAPEST WAY TO HIT 12.0 IN 1320FT ON THE PLANET, I OVE EM, BUT THEY DONT LOVE ME LOL, NO KNEE ROOM

Real cars put together by real men that love rolling their sleeves up and bringing back some Americana history. Nothing more nothing less.

Attached: realcars.jpg (1152x864, 192K)

IN TECH SCHOOL THEY TOLD US HOW THE 87 5.0'S IN A 9 CAR DRAFT AROUND DAYTONA HIT 170MPH STOCK... NOT SURE IF TRUE BUT THE GUY HAD SLIDES SHOWING THE CARS WITH NO PAINT LEFT ON THE BUMPERS.

AND THIS IS WHY THE HIGHWAY PATROL VERSIONS OF THE 5.0 AND INTERCEPTORS USE SPUN ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFTS
"Ford used an aluminum metal matrix composite driveshaft for the 1993–2005 Police Interceptors as a measure to allow safe operation at over 150 mph"
