as for after age 2.. well i did it for a bit but it gets boring really quick, seriously. it's 10x better than working but being able to pursue something other than full-time care with the kids really helps. plus i like being able to spend my own money.

stay at home dad here (though I work from home and make about 1/3 my wife’s salary). It’s a pretty good time. My wife is a geek who likes her job- she’s much happier at work. She also gets stressed the fuck out by our kids when they are fussy or whatever, whereas I’m laid back and can handle it. My 3 kids do calisthenics every morning and I homeschool, which was always my dream. I have free time every day to read books and lift weights (best deadlift is 515), I control all of the food (though my wife cooks dinner every night), and I get to do fun stuff all day like mowing the lawn and taking the kids to the park.
If your wife is a good and faithful woman you have nothing to worry about. I recommend finding some way to make money on the side though so you aren’t having to beg her for spending money. Thy would create some unhealthy stress in my opinion.

I resigned from my start up CEO position to raise my first born son and my wife wasn’t making bank either, we were dirt poor for a while. But her job had fhe good insurance. I became a real estate broker , and have just finished a book to market over the internet. I’ve had the pleasure of raising our first born son and it has taught me a hell of a lot. He is a great kid and very strong willed, I love him dearly. We are about to have a second and Im not sure how it’s going to go yet. I might end up taking a job and her switch to the caring role, that being said Im a better cook and I have much more patience than her (the most necessary attribute to being a good patient.)

Cook good fucking meals every night for when she comes home, be an alpha, take the baby in to see her, stay fit by taking advantage of gyms that have a child watch program.
