Reality: it creates a system where people get enough to keep their basic needs and vices but imprisons them also. Much of humanities progress has been because of need not want. People do not go to work for fulfillment they go because they need the money and know people are depending on them. Removing that need destroys the person.

Reality: doctors and nurses are highly trained individuals. They are in short supply because not everyone can do it. For an individual to go through the hardships of all of that training requires some type of reward. Combine the issue of research and development costs no longer having an acceptable ROI and the Morally Superior system turns into a nightmare.
