How old were you when you learned Rhodesia even existed? Apparently it's not even taught in the west.

shamefully i admit that i only ever heard about rhodesia on Jow Forums. even though it was one of our colonies, i never knew about it.
I'm not surprised. In America few, if any people even know it exists. When I tell people I'm from Africa, and not from South Africa, they ask, either with great curiosity or shock, how it's possible white people even lived in Africa. There were 400,000 of us in the mid 1970s and few people realize that.
i heard about it first when that dylann roof kid shot up that church, and on the news they said he had a rhodesian flag and an apartheid SA flag on his jacket
didnt actually look into it until a year or so later
rhodesians never die
>i heard about it first when that dylann roof kid shot up that church
This is how most Americans know about Rhodesia, which is unfortunate.
We weren't and still aren't killers, unless of course we're fighting communists
I learned aabout it during the Zimbabwe coup
Bu...bu...but they were MEAN to the noble black people who inhabited the land! they killed 2 billion blacks for that land!
I was born in 1977, but I never learned about Rhodesia in school. We had to memorize a map of Africa in high school—we had to do that for every continent—but we learned nothing about African history except that our slaves came from there and that there were lots of mineral resources to be exploited there, but local corruption stood in the way of Anerican efforts to make progress with those resources.
Pic related is a recent shot of the intersection in your pic.
>How old were you when you learned Rhodesia even existed?
About 18 or 19 when I went to see Blood Diamond.
>"American, huh?"
>"Guilty"
>"Americans usually are."
>"Says the white South African."
>"I'm from Rhodesia!"
>"We say Zimbabwe now, don't we?"
>"Do we?"
like, 30 fkn crazy right?
breadbasket of africa
The road has that "shitty neighborhood" look to it but the buildings look well kept
What the hell?
>About 18 or 19 when I went to see Blood Diamond.
shit like this reminds me how young I am in the scheme of things, holy shit
>We weren't and still aren't killers
Seems like quite a bad mistake in retrospect.
14, playing Win Steel panthers main battletank (Winspmbt)
I learned from Jow Forums
The rich in Zimbabwe live well. The poor do not. There isn't much middle ground.
13 or 14, I was a Cold War history buff. I learned about it on my own.
That it does.
From the map of Africa in the movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy."
well, my grandpa was KGB general and supplied all these niggers against (((hwite pipol))), which actually were nothing, but pawn of zionism and american imperialism, well my grandpa always said, that niggers are stupid and so on, but it is good when they kill our enemies
22 and learnt about it from pol.
posts like these remind me how old I'm getting, lol
Pretty late in my teens or early 20s
Rhodesia is/was an irrelevant country theres nothing worth teaching about it ,at least in schools
It's a microcosm and precursor to what's happening in the west.

Just a quick refresher for those not well-versed in Rhodesian history.
Yeah cause we don't give a fuck about other countries
Look how nicely dressed, clean, kempt, and well behaved everyone is. Everyone is happy, productive, and well fed. Whites are meant to rule.
I learned about in Metal Gear Solid. Never researched it though.
that's another good rundown for those that don't know, thanks. saved

I learned about it when i was 14 and it made me go from libertarian to nationalist
Well into high school. Even then it was only because we had a great, based, somewhat unorthodox history teacher. He even mentioned the classic 'breadbasket of Africa' thing
I was taught about it in Geography class aged 15
It was used as an example of what happens if you kick white people out of a country.
I heard about it from these Combat and Survival books I got from my uncle when I was a kid. Very useful and good for anons to own.
