Why has Jow Forums gone to shit? Now before you say Jow Forums was always shit, I can clearly remember a time when people were allowed to express their own political beliefs and opinions without being flamed. Trolled? Sure. Baited? Sure. But flamed? No. Jow Forums has always been more vitriolic than other boards but recently it's gotten to a obsequious point where you cannot say anything that disagrees with the majority without being brigaded by butthurt manchild reddit refugees.
I'd like to point out that Jow Forums was supposed to be a last bastion of free speech, and attacking anyone who moderately disagrees with you, even if they pose a good point, without even considering their argument, is the cancer killing our board.
Hate jews? Fine. Hate niggers? Fine. Heil Hitler? Fine. But for the love of all that is good if somebody has a point to make don't denounce it simply because it disagrees with your ideology, consider it's validity first, and refute it accordingly. This isn't /b/, this place was not meant for constant flaming shitposts.

no this is not true. Jow Forums always had that , limiting the number of boards is one of 4chans main advantages , because it creates mass chaos in all the boards that exist , and good ideas rise to the top. Other platforms like reddit ( and double ch) elect to allow endless new boards which concentrates topics into more and more obscure arenas ...but hinders the organic rise to the top type vibe that characterized 4. but luckily double ch mirrored the main boards , and so far the mods are not infiltrated or comp’d nearly as far as here. I switch back and forth. but I’m coming here less and less.
