No. South Asian culture tends to be really emotionally intense, and as a result you get experiences on the extremes. You'll meet some of the nastiest people you've ever met, and some of the most wonderful. One guy will threaten you with violence, while another will invite you to their family home and treat you so much like a king it actually makes you uncomfortable. It's all about self-expression. In a way, it's sort of the opposite of Japan or the rich part of London.

They really need to be understood as their own thing. There is Indian influence to the culture, but there's also Russian influence, Arab influence, and Western European influence. Genetically they're as white as they are Arab as they are Slavic as they are Jewish as they are Indian. But it honestly just seems like such a crossroads because most people know a lot more about the people around them than they do about them. But the stuff I said about South Asian emotionality, Iranians are pretty much the exact opposite. They're reserved, elegant/refined, intellectual, and stern.
