Honestly the term Space Force sucks. There's already the Air Force. Space Corps would suck just as much because it would share with the Marine Corps. There's Army. There's the Navy. There's the Guard. It needs it's own name. Honestly, Astronauts is the best term for it and has been the preferred American term for decades (the Russians in the space race were cosmonauts). I mean, it comes from the Greek ástron (star) and nautes (sailor). It literally means "Star Sailor". Hell, the foundation is already all set up:
