You can drink in the UAE. There is way more to this story. I may be a decently dressed dude who can hold his own in the Muslim world, but I've gone through Dubai airport drunk from both drinking in downtown and arriving on a flight and the emirati passport dudes are rock stars. Sure beats TSA.
