He cited a water treatment study to me to support his argument for why tap drinking water treatment is completely safe, and in the study it literally said a byproduct of Chlorine and Chloramine water treatment are Haloacetic Acids, which are known carcinogens. Cancer causing.

My position was *mostly* safe, but that there is no way to avoid having these byproducts in your tap water. Different treatment plants produce different levels of byproducts, so it varies with location.

Therefore, I said that it was *probably* a better idea to have a carbon filter or reverse osmosis to filter the acids out, if you use a lot of water. He said there's zero reasons to have a water filter.

So I mentioned the EPA regulates HAA (haloacedic acids) at 60 parts per billion. Most places in the US fall within 30-60 parts per billion (according to the EPA), and studies show that if your water is at the EPA limit, your chance of developing Renal, Bladder, or Colon cancer start at 1/10,000 and increase exponentially the longer your body maintains a constant amount.

I made it clear that I was only using information from his study, and would you imagine, I was then timed out for like 5000 seconds.
